Amazingly, an honest and humble review of PES University.
Placements: Usually, close to 90 percent of students get placed. It is known for placements. Companies like Meesho, Rapid, Apple, major tech companies, Rubrik, etc., hire students. Roles like software development, machine learning, product management, and different levels of these same roles are offered. The business analyst role is also offered. The highest package offered is 60 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 10-12 LPA. Many internships are offered, and most of the batch got them in the above-mentioned companies.
Infrastructure: All facilities are good. Especially, boys' hostel is well-connected to the main campus. The Wi-Fi is good when it works. Labs are okay, and classrooms are good for all the non-engineering students. The library is accessible but crowded. The hostel has multiple blocks, and some of them are good, but most of them are bad. The quality of food is good, and the variety is amazing. Medical facilities are available at hot spots, and games are available.
Faculty: Many teachers for our course are knowledgeable and experienced. Many of them are also not knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, except if we are unlucky and get a bad teacher. The course curriculum is extremely relevant, and it is very helpful for me to learn stuff like this. It makes students industry-ready and pushes students to do well in DSA, which is hellish for almost everyone. Still, a lot of students fail in exams.

PESU RR - Great infrastructure and decent placements.
Placements: From my seniors' batch, who have just graduated, around 60 percent of students have been placed in CSE, and placements are still ongoing. Almost 1,177 students are placed for sure. The average package offered is around 15 LPA, and the highest package offered by Apple is 60 LPA. It recruited around 27 students. IBM offers a package of 18 LPA, which is a large recruiter. Even HPE and Apple have recruited a good number of students with tier 1 offers. Many internships are offered by companies like Visa, Cisco, Aveva, IBM, Apple, Pure Storage, Goldman Sachs, and JPMC. The most common roles offered are SDE and SWE. Some companies also offer AI roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing on my campus. Wi-Fi is accessible. Classrooms are all equipped with whiteboards, chalkboards, a large TV, and projectors. The main library is huge and neat. The mess food is nice. There are 3 mess facilities in boys' hostel to choose from (can change every month). Sport facilities are good, but slightly low compared to the number of students.
Faculty: Some teachers are great and have been teaching for a long time. The curriculum is excellent, and it keeps getting updated according to industry trends every year. Semester exams are generally hard, and grading is absolute. Almost 25 percent of the batch scores above 8.6 SGPA every semester.
Other: I chose CSE out of interest in the field, which started through basic app development, playing, and coding games in Java and Unity. I think college life is relatively low here, with few activities, as most students are not hostellers. The yearly fest named Atmatrisha is great. Scholarship incentive is superb. If we study well, then we can easily get 40 percent, and the fee will be refunded every semester.

It has good infrastructure, culture, and many sports opportunities, but a little academic support.
Placements: Placements are good compared to other colleges. They are not too great, but around 85 percent of eligible students got placed. Mostly, they are internships and not placement offers. It has a separate cell for placements and an app too, through which we can coordinate.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good, and it's on par with international universities. Wi-Fi has a lot of restrictions. Labs are top-notch. There are many auditoriums and seminar halls. Hostels are really great. We get hot water regularly, but sometimes we may face issues with the hot water.
Faculty: Faculty members are really student-friendly and easily approachable. Semester exams are a little hard. The pass percentage is around 80 percent. The course curriculum is updated regularly to industry standards. Many guest speeches are conducted by big industry experts.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028

It is the best college in the best city with the best memories and the best placements.
Placements: Around 65-70 percent of the total students who registered and are eligible for placements got placed. The highest package offered is 68 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3 LPA. The average package offered is 12.29 LPA. Top Companies like Apple, Renesas, Nvidia, IBM, EY, Deloitte, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, Meesho, Texas Instruments, Lam Research, LTMindtree, Cadence, etc., hire students. Roles offered are SDE, SWE, data analyst, MLOps, hardware engineer, data science, ASIC engineer, PD engineer (physical design), and graduate trainee.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is somewhat average and above average. Initially, there is some struggle, but later it works smoothly and provides around 200-220 Mbps speed. It is monitored by the hostel authority, and Netflix and Amazon Prime are restricted. We cannot go to those sites. Jio Hotstar only works. Food is similar to that in other hostels. In the initial days, we might get fascinated, but it is the same for every other day of the week. PES has 3 libraries, one in F-Block (Panini Block), one in GJBC (Golden Jubilee Block), and one in the law building. It has excellent libraries with a new floor to the GJBC, named a project room.
Faculty: More than 90 percent of teachers from the second year are PhD holders from IITs, IISc, NTU, NUS, one from Harvard, and IEEE publishers. They are extremely intelligent and generous to approach. They take an interest in themselves when we approach them for a project. The course curriculum is 60-40, which means 60 percent is the same old curriculum, but 40 percent has changed. It is modified to the industry's needs. For example, in ECE, we have a subject called DVLSI, where we study the fabrication of a chip, which is usually studied in M.Tech. Exams are pretty difficult and challenging. Questions are asked even about the smallest possible topic.
Other: I chose ECE because I wanted a tech branch to go with. PES has its licensed cadence software, where we can literally design a real-world chip structure. The college should focus more on project-based learning, as it does provide, but we want more. A big event named Aatmatrisha. It is most crowded, but a majority of them are brilliant-minded with clean surroundings. We get 4-5 scholarships like Proof MRD 1.2 lakhs (SGPA > 9.5), Proof C. N. Rao Rs. 96,000 (8.75 < SGPA < 9.5) and DAC (Distinction Accredited Scholarship) for Rs. 2,000 (for all above 7.75).

PES University has highly skilled lecturers, a nice infrastructure, and a nice placement center.
Placements: 80 percent of students get placed in college. The highest package offered in my branch is 60 LPA. It has a decent placement range. The average package offered is 12 LPA. Companies like Sony, Nvidia, and Samsung hire students from the college. Students usually get internships in companies like Samsung, Nvidia, Sony, etc. Roles like chip designer, CAD software engineer, VLSI industry, embedded system engineer, and robotics engineer are offered here.
Infrastructure: Labs are very good, and they have updated computer systems. The library is very huge, and has a vast amount of books. Mess food is good compared to other hostels. Sports facilities are good. But we don't have a separate ground for cricket for hostel students. The food served is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Students are made to work hands-on with lectures, which gives us more exposure. Semester exams are pretty difficult compared to other colleges. 35 percent is the pass percentage. Exam conducting and evaluation are very strict and are conducted in a very nice manner.

It is a really good university and the best for academics.
Placements: Around 80 to 90 percent of the eligible students are placed. It also provides special industrial-level training for people who are not placed and find jobs. Placements are decent in ECE and good in CS. The average package offered is 10 LPA. Overall, placements are good comparatively.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really great. Hostels are neat, and we get to see a lot more facilities here, like a gym and other stuff, which are amazing. It has an international-level infrastructure and is good compared to other universities like GJBC, which is amazing.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good. They are all easily approachable and qualified. They are M.Tech or PhD holders. The course curriculum is updated regularly and is on par with industry standards. Their way of teaching is good. Exams are a little hard, but vary from person to person.
