PCU admissions are based on merit and entrance exam scores as per the course requirements. The universityprovides UG, PG and PhD courses. The courses are provided in various streams like Engineering, Computer Application, Management, etc. The university accepts national entrance exams like JEE Main, MH-CET, NID, UCEED, etc. 

Candidates are selected based on merit or entrance exam scores as per the course requirements. Candidates must complete Class 12 for UG course, graduation for PG course and post graduation for PhD course admission. Candidates also need to appear for a personal interview.

Pimpri Chinchwad University admissions are majorly conducted on the basis of the entrance test method. Hence, students may not be able to obtain direct admissions, except for any course or community-based exceptions. BTech, MBA, BDes, MBA. admissions require students to appear for various entrance exams which includes PCU conducted by the university, MHT CET, JE, PERA, NIFT, UCEED and others, followed by PI round. Further, for BPharma, MCA, BSc, BCA, DPharma and BBA university offers merit-based admission, followed by GDPI round. 

Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) can be categorised as Tier 1 university and has been ranked 5th among the new generation of universities in India as per the Outlook survey.
