PUMDET is generally conducted in the month of June-July. The entrance exam dates are informed in advance for students to prepare well for the test. Last year, PUMDET exam scheduled was revised. Presidency University Kolkata admission 2023 is expected to start in the month of August and September for UG and PG courses, respectively. During 2022 admission cycle, Presidency University Kolkata released its provisional general merit list for UG admission on August 27. This was followed by the release of first provisional merit list for admission, based on which students will be able to confirm their seats. The university currently offers UG, PG and doctoral-level courses in the field of Arts and Science. For admission to the University, WBJEEB conducted PUMDET and PUBDET exams for PG and UG Admission. There is no minimum cutoff for admission. You need to fulfill eligibility criteria which is 70% marks in 12th and entrance exam.

The candidate have cleared (not before 2019) or appeared for BA (Hons) examination in 2023 from any recognised University. Appeared for BA  (Hons) exam and should have their final results at the time of counselling and produce their original mark sheets/grade cards of all semester/annual examinations passed at the Bachelor’s level. Such candidates must fulfil the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission.

The candidate should appeared for their final BA (Hons) examination, but their final results have not been declared at the time of counselling, such candidates shall be given provisional admission on the basis of production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of all previous semester/annual examinations at their Bachelor’s level. However, candidates are supposed to submit their final mark sheet till the mentioned date to ensure that they fulfil their minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Must secure the minimum required percentage of marks/CGPA in honours/major subject as per the following table in their BA (Hons) examination for final and confirmed admission.
