I’m really satisfied and overall it is good.
Placements: Since it is a general line, there is no direct placement offered right after the Bachelor's degree. However, if one gives entrance exams for other jobs or roles, they can be placed accordingly. But the degree provides a lot of opportunities to work in the laboratory as a paid intern. Almost 90% students got internships from this course in various reputed institutes and industries.
Infrastructure: Our college classrooms are well-equipped with projectors, blackboards, fans, lights, and air conditioning. The library has access to almost all kinds of books that the students need. The facilities in the hostel are moderate enough for a student to live properly. Proper food, rooms, and bathrooms are also in good condition. Hygiene is well maintained here. The food available in the mess and canteen is quite good, and lots of options are available. Medical facilities are also available here when needed. Here sports and games are given enough importance besides academics. Tournaments and competitions are held to encourage students in sports.
Faculty: Teachers are highly knowledgeable and qualified. They are always ready to help and address our doubts. The teaching quality is satisfactory, as we understand quite a lot through lectures. The course is curriculum relevant for further research. If one does an internship or works in a lab hands-on, then it can make the student industry-ready. The semester exams are quite standard level, and one needs to attend the lectures in order to do well in the exams. Conceptual knowledge is highly appreciated in exams. The pass percentage is 90%. The syllabus includes portions from Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Physiology, and Cell Biology.
Other: This particular course offers a wide range of knowledge and opportunities across various areas. It also has Development Biology, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biostatistics, and Bioinformatics. Events and festivals are conducted well enough, and the campus has a good scenario and is environmentally friendly. Extracurricular activities are given special importance, and participation is highly encouraged.

Life at Presidency, a student-friendly environment, offers you to excel in your life.
Placements: Last year, 6 out of 16 placement candidates got placed. Although the number of students getting placed changes year to year. Some year 16 out of 18 candidates get placed sometimes. The highest package remains about 10-12 LPA, and the lowest remains around 3.5-4 LPA. Past recruiters include Vedanta, SLB, Maheshwari Mine, Sakariya Mine, UGM, etc. An industrial internship is a part of the syllabus in the M.Sc. 3rd Semester. All the students must attend 10-14 days of industrial training at different agencies like AMD, TATA Steel, ECL, and SLB. Roles offered are Assistant Managers and Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET).
Infrastructure: Departmental and central libraries are available. The whole campus is provided with Wi-Fi. In the Geology Department, the Structural Lab, Petrographic Microscope Lab, Computer Lab, Remote Sensing Lab, and Geochemistry instruments are also available. In the boys' hostel, there is another library available. The food in the canteen and hostel is quite good and cheaper than most other places. Calcutta Medical College is nearby, so medical facilities are also available in handy. Sports are major attractions for students here. Departmental football, cricket league, university-level football, cricket, badminton, and table tennis league are organised every year. In college fests, sports weeks are organised.
Faculty: Teachers are approachable and very helpful. They are qualified and guide students really well. Teaching quality is also good. Sometimes better than IITs and NITs. Particularly, applied geology helps students to be industry-ready by organizing talks, seminars, and workshops. The pass percentage differs in different departments, although the semester exams are quite easy to pass.
Other: This course gives a direct window to be industry-ready soon after completing M.Sc. Also, the placements are there. Ph.D. is another interesting way in this Field. Field trips are essential, and they are very enjoyable. Maybe more opportunities for internships, more fields, and active coaching for GATE or NET-like competitive examinations. Scholarships are available as well. Fest are crowd engaging. Alumni connectivity is strong as well. Gives chance to excel in extracurricular activities.

Faculty and lab facilities are very good. Placement is not so good (average).
Placements: The life sciences course is the proper way to crack the NET exam. The lowest package is 25k. The average is like 50k. Students can go further in forensic sciences. Some pharmaceutical or biotech companies give placements. 50% got a scholarship from the government. People who apply for an internship.
Infrastructure: The life sciences department has huge lab facilities. Students can do hands-on practicals. The hostel has bus facilities. Food quality and the room are okay. Classes have a blackboard and projectors. The life sciences department has its own sample collection.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Semester exams are very standard. 2 semester exams in one year. 2 mid-semester or IAS per semester exam. The pass percentage is 40%. If someone attends the classes properly, then the semester exam is not hard for them. 75% attendance is mandatory.

We get excellence in knowledge, cultural aspirations, faculty members, and courses.
Placements: The individual information or percentage of students who are placed in my course is not known to me, as it is confidential. Details could not be found by general students. But our placement cell encourages students by helping them to get internships, which increases their desire to know the world better. The placement cell for my course needs to be developed more, as we have a few seats for our course, and they should have a look at the arts stream placements specifically and enhance their packages also.
Infrastructure: Our university has two libraries (arts and central) where innumerable books, articles, magazines, daily newspapers, and study materials are available to enrich students with a wider spectrum of knowledge. Classrooms for my course carry historical significance, where many eminent Indian personalities did higher studies. The AC room in our department is short in number. It will be better if rooms get modernised with centralized AC and are a bit cleaned regularly. Wi-Fi is not good. Canteen food is well-cooked and delicious. Hostel facilities are available. We have a sports room and a gym for physical enthusiasts.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They use PPTs while teaching and give useful study materials to students. They used to cover the syllabus, and moreover, they are very helpful. They are easy to reach for students. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant and beneficial for students who will think about higher studies. Semester exams are not that tough if students follow the classes regularly and follow instructions of the professor. Hardly, some students fail in the semesters here if their attendance does not become a barrier for them to sit in the semester.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in this subject, and also the Presidency's legacy brings me to it. I chose this course because it offers me the best things about history, which enrich me. We get a huge help from the professors, and I have been nurtured with an inquisitive approach towards any topic. The most important thing I want to deliberately increase is the time gap between the semesters, as it is too short to get deeply into topics. Fests here are very attractive, which include the fresher's party. A noticeable thing here is that there is no burden between seniors and juniors.

The faculty members try hard to give us proper and better education to secure our future.
Placements: In my class (UG 2), there are 72-78 students, where 125 seats were allotted. Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Zoology play a significant role during recruitment. Instead of placement, our college is more focused on higher education, research, and study.
Infrastructure: Our department provides good infrastructure such as big classrooms with gallery system seating arrangements, AC in summer, a projector, and big screens. Feels like a movie theatre. I don't stay in a hostel, but I share now reviews like they provide a beautiful meal in a week, they arrange a transport system from the hostel to the campuses.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and friendly too, whenever we go to them, they treat us as their children and solve our problems sincerely. The exam questions are divided into theoretical, applied, and analytical. They assess us in many ways for smooth learning in the future.
Other: I chose Life Sciences as I have great interest in this since my 12th Standard, specifically Molecular Biology and some parts of physiology. I want the authorities to provide more equipment for the practical lab for students of all years.

Presidency College, Kolkata
Placements: Only 63 to 68% of students from the discipline of Physics are allowed to attend the recruitment drives, while exam results are the deciding factors for their placement participation. The minimum package offered to our branch students is 2.56 LPA.
Infrastructure: The technical team is available in the laboratories at all times to assist the students with the precise usage of equipment. Libraries are well stocked with basic books required for subject references for all disciplines in multiple copies. The possibilities of conducting fests are at the maximum rate.
Faculty: Teachers mark the records of the students more precisely and accurately to avoid future problems. The curriculum experience provided by the teachers was above average. Teachers partition the students into several groups to provide group-based coaching for exams.
