The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts PUMDET to shortlist aspirants for admission in MA programmes offered at Presidency University, Kolkata. Presidency University Master Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET) comprises separate entrance tests for admission in Science and humanities courses. When applying for admission through PUMDET, candidates are supposed to apply for a maximum of two subjects.
No, in order to get admission for MA at Presidency University, Kolkata the student have to pass PUMDET entrance exam. PUMDET 2024 application process is yet to start. The exam conducting body will release the PUMDET exam schedule soon at the official website of the exam. However, PUMDET 2023 application process was held between January 31 to February 21 on the official website of the exam. For this academic session, once the application form is released, candidates will be able to apply for PUMDET exam by visiting the official website of the WBJEE. The PUMDET application process will be held online. Such candidates must fulfil the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission.
The candidate should appeared for their final BA (Hons) examination, but their final results have not been declared at the time of counselling, such candidates shall be given provisional admission on the basis of production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of all previous semester/annual examinations at their Bachelor’s level. However, candidates are supposed to submit their final mark sheet till the mentioned date to ensure that they fulfil their minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Must secure the minimum required percentage of marks/CGPA in honours/major subject as per the following table in their BA (Hons) examination for final and confirmed admission.
