The essence of the three P's of Presidency University is positivity, pace, and patience.

Placements: There are a total of 40 students in each batch. In our batch, there are around 36 students. The highest salary package offered is around 8 LPA - 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Deloitte, TCS, Capgemini, and KPMG visit the college for placements to recruit economics and statistics department students. Technical, customer service, software development, and marketing roles are mainly provided to students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good with proper seminar halls, classrooms, a library, and 4 big buildings. The food and medical facilities are good. It has a good basketball court and a big green field. Our canteen serves proper healthy food. There are aquitards on every floor and corridor to drink water.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They make students industry-ready. Semester exams are a little difficult. The syllabus is convenient. The pass percentage is very good. Our teachers help students in building good language diction and verbal and communication skills.

Other: The course acquaints students with all the industry-related skills and knowledge.

Presidency University is the heritage of Kolkata.

Placements: The placement cell present in the college is not active. Placements are offered, but the package provided to the students was very low. So, the students opt for higher studies than going for placements. No internships are provided to the students, and the students have to look for such opportunities on their own. However, companies Axis Bank, HSBC, Bibek Academy, etc., visit our college to conduct placements.

Infrastructure: There are two hostels present on the campus. Both are Wi-Fi enabled. The classrooms and labs are spacious and equipped with the latest machinery. There are three canteens on the campus which provide quality food to the students. There are various labs and classrooms which are air-conditioned.

Faculty: The institute has the best teachers compared to the other colleges present in this region. They are very knowledgeable. They are always ready to help the students regarding the career issues. Our college was accredited as a university recently. So, many changes are taking place based on the curriculum.

My overall experience in college has been transformative and enriching.

Placements: It's good for someone who wants to pursue an academic line like a Ph.D. or other higher courses but not so good for someone who wants to go into an academic line. They do give opportunities to work in NGOs through NSS and also offer some internship programs like digital marketing.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good as per the fee we pay per semester. The food that the college provides in the canteen can be better. The medical facilities are average, and the college provides numerous opportunities for those interested in sports.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course makes students ready for higher studies, but some can also opt for human resources after getting a degree from the college by doing certain courses. Besides, they also provide digital marketing internship opportunities. Professors are very helpful and hold higher degrees. The course is very good for someone who wants to opt for research in the future. Besides, they provide plenty of seminars to attend.

Other: I chose sociology as a course of study because it offers a deep understanding of how societies function and relationships between individuals and groups. It fosters critical thinking and equips me with tools to address social issues like inequality and injustice. The interdisciplinary nature of sociology opens diverse career opportunities while also promoting personal growth and empathy. Overall, it allows me to engage meaningfully with the world and contribute to positive social change. The department is very good, and I am fully satisfied with it. They offer numerous opportunities to showcase our talents through events and fests.
