College is quite good, but as the course is new, we don’t know much about the placement.

Placements: As this course is new, we can’t say much about placements, but the placement of other branches is pretty good. A lot of companies visit our college, like Microsoft, Amazon, etc.

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi in our college, but sometimes it doesn’t work. Our college is 100 years old, so the infrastructure is old, and there is not much improvement in that. However, the clubs in our college are too good; we get to know a lot from them, and they help master several skills.

Faculty: The faculty is helpful and well-qualified in their particular field. The curriculum is similar to DTU, which is good, but it lacks in some places, like electives being introduced in the 3rd year. However, they are working on improving it. Exams are not that tough, but assignments are.

Other: PEC Fest is one of the best parts of our college.

Condition of B. design dpt at PEC.

Placements: Designing packages directly from college is always decent and not very high, regardless of whether it's NID or DTU. Here, it is the same. However, off-campus packages are good. I can't say much as our course is completely new. We might see a better graph in the coming few years.

Infrastructure: There are ACs almost everywhere now. In terms of facilities, PEC has almost everything from the library to the gym. Mess food is available even for day scholars in exchange for a small amount of money. PEC has its market in the middle. Bachelor of Design is a new course introduced here for now, so there aren’t specialized labs yet.

Faculty: The curriculum is the same as the one at IITB for design. Mostly inclined toward industrial design. PEC provides high-quality education and helps build a strong foundation. The assignments and projects given are a bit hard, but exams are easy to ace if you are regular.

Other: PEC is full of opportunities and extracurricular activities. We have many competitions going on and many clubs to join. Everyone has a great college life here. It is a huge campus with plenty of greenery. Scholarships are provided to the top 1-2 students of the batch, depending on their GPA.

Peaceful life at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Placements: For design, there’s almost no placement. No student has yet completed the course as it started three years ago, but still, looking at other factors, you will have to find internships yourself. The percentage of internships in 3rd year is 4 percent till now.

Infrastructure: Pretty campus, AC's in almost all classes except the old classrooms. For hostels, there are many restrictions. For girls, no one is allowed outside after 9, for boys, it’s a bit lenient. Clean rooms with windows. Boys’ hostel lacks a laundry though. A few small adjustments will have to be made.

Faculty: Everyone is helpful, but faculty lacks professors from a design background. I hope staff recruitment gets better. But still, a couple of teachers are amazing and definitely very helpful. The curriculum is exactly like IIT B's design course, so the whole course is inclined to industrial design and is technical.
