Ravenshaw - The Red Empire.
Placements: I am Sachidananda Pati, currently pursuing B.Sc. Statistics at Ravenshaw University. Our University is the best University in Odisha with NAAC A+ grade and also provides the best placement to its students. Our University has tie-ups with all companies like Cognizant, Google, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are very good. All its accommodation systems are the best. Our University provides Wi-Fi to all students, and all meals are average, but for non-vegetarians, it is good enough as we get 5 days of non-veg at our mess. The bonding between hostel boarders is very good.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very good and supportive. They give us projects and help in our academic career improvement. Previously, it was the old grading system exam where each semester was 425 marks, but now, from this year, as per NEP 2020, a new system of exams has been introduced where each semester has 600 marks.
Other: It is the best University to pursue B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. The best University in Odisha.

My college life was the best.
Placements: I chose Statistics Honors; students in this course scored 80–90% in the examinations. This course has many scopes for students, like ISS, which is equivalent to UPSC. Also, data science students got jobs at different companies like Wipro, Accenture, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our course are good. We have good Wi-Fi connections, computer labs, smart classrooms and a big library where every kind of facility is available. The digital library is also available here. One can get any kind of book from here.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and highly qualified; they got Ph.D.s from big universities. They have vast knowledge of statistics. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are not more difficult; they are less difficult than at other colleges. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because it's the best of the best. Many scope opportunities are there in this course. The best thing is that ISS is an exam that is equivalent to UPSC. Every month, events are organized, and the campus surrounding them is the best. Scholarships are also given.

Just go for this university if you get it.
Placements: This university was never about placements, to be honest. Placements matter in engineering college mostly! But here this a university with all the courses based on general line. Like the banking sector, teaching sector etc. So it provides a lot of courses except engineering. So this university was never about placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is first class. This university has been there for decades, but it still looks new. It consists of a lot of hostels. Many of them are new many are old. But infrastructure is best. The facilities of our department are well educated having proper knowledge. And our library (having books and AC) have a Wi-Fi system. The quality of facilities and food in a hostel is value for money, and we have no complaints whatsoever. Have a dispensary. We have a field for all extra co-curricular activities, including sports games.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are primarily helpful. All are qualified for their specific job. And knowledgeable because being knowledgeable is necessary for everyone to get qualified. And as everyone fills in these criteria very well, you can guess the teaching quality. So yes, the course is relevant. In case of our studies, industry ready means general line. So yes, it makes us industry ready. The difficulty is not there as the standard of teaching is excellent.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: There is a lot of placement from all the other departments but there is very negligible placements in Statistics department. There is other off campuses from which students were hired. Last year there were no students hired by placements but many students doing Masters in reputed universities.
Infrastructure: There is only 3 classrooms which are in very bad situation. There is no Wi-Fi for students, no labs for practicals. Hostels are in very good condition and providing all the necessary things to every students. There is no sporting events organised by department.
Faculty: There is lack of permanent faculty. The overall course structure is great and teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Semester exams are moderate and passing percentage is above 90. It needs to be appointed more permanent faculty to strengthen higher and quality education.
Other: Statistics gives the best career opportunities and wide scopes. There are many things to improve as a department like in events, activities etc.
