Sastra University offers admission to its Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme through various channels, including Stream 1 and Stream 2.
Stream 1: Admissions are based on the JEE Main scores, and the candidate must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics combined.
Stream 2: Admissions are based on the 10+2 or equivalent examination scores, and the candidate must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) combined. Based on your score of 970 in your Intermediate Public Examination (IPE), it is unlikely that you would be eligible for CSE in Sastra University through Stream 1 as you have not taken the JEE Main exam. However, you may be eligible to apply for the CSE programme through Stream 2 if you meet the minimum eligibility requirements of having a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in PCM. However, admission to Sastra University is competitive, and the actual cutoffs for admission may vary from year to year depending on the number of applicants and the availability of seats. It is recommended that you visit Sastra University's official website or contact the admission office for the latest information on eligibility criteria and admission requirements for the CSE programme.

It is simple, just multiply your CGPA by 9.5 and you'll get your percentage. For instance :- if your CGPA is 8.5 then you multiply your CGPA I. e. 8.5 * 9.5 and you'll get your CGPA into percentage that is 80.75% that's it.

As per the information I found on tier official website that 30% of seats are reserved for Stream 2 (based on +2 marks) and admission is based on normalized aggregate Class XII Scores. The minimum percentage required for admission in CSE/ECE branch is not mentioned on the website. However, according to a *. Com post, Stream 1 (JEE Mains score (25%)+12th Grade score (75%) has 70% seats while Stream 2 (12th Grade score) has 30% seats. The minimum percentage required for admission in CSE branch is not mentioned but you can apply for the NRI category even if you arent one. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello Chandu Krishna, it's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in the branch of computer sciences engineering for your graduation. Normally speaking almost every student who wishes for an admission in an engineering college gives this branch as the first choice. As a result of this the closing ranks for the closing percentiles are extremely high in almost all the colleges across India be it IIT or NIT or even the local engineering colleges. As a rule of thumb one needs to score more than a percentile of 99.5 to get a seat in computer sciences engineering even in Sastra deemed to be university. Best wishes to you.
