SAU Delhi Admission Process 2025
SAU Delhi gives admission to students based on entrance examination scores of the candidates. The university gives seats to candidates from SAARC & non-SAARC countries. Follow the steps to get a seat in SAU Delhi:
1: SAU Delhi Application Process 2025
The mode of application is online. Aspirants appearing for the entrance examinations need to pay INR 830 as an application fee. Candidates need to fill out the application form & upload docs to register for a course.
2: Selection
Aspirants who have filled out the application form can get admission in the university through the following mode:
Direct Mode: Additionally, aspirants with a valid score in any of the accepted national-level entrance exams can also get admission. The university accepts JEE Main for BTech, CUET-UG for Integrated BS-MS, BBA-MBA, CUET-PG scores for MA, MSc, MTech, etc.
Virtual Campus: Under virtual campus, aspirants are offered admission without any entrance exam scores and entirely based on their eligibility. Aspirants can apply for BS, BCA, MCA, BBA-MBA, MS, MBA and BBA (Hons) under the virtual campus.
3: Merit List & Counselling
Merit list is relaesed by the university based on the entrance examination scores of the candidates. Selected students need to further participate in counselling & doc verification. Aspirants can pay the SAU Delhi fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Yes, SAU Delhi accepts CUET scores for admission to Integrated BS-MS and Integrated BBA-MBA programmes. Te university accepts CUET-PG scores for admission to MSc, MSc + MTech, MA, MS, MSc and MTech programmes. Yes, South Asian Delhi University provides direct admission to PhD courses. Candidates opting for direct admission are exempted from appearing for the entrance test. They are selected based on their CVs, SOPs, research proposals and letter of recommendations. Such aspirants are called directly for the interview round. Besides, admission to courses offered via virtual campus is also merit-based and does not require passing any entrance exam.

SAU Delhi MA Admission 2025
SAU Delhi offers a two-year full-time MA course divided into four semesters. The university offers an MA in Economics (with specialisation in Economic Development), International Relations and Sociology. The university conducts an entrance test to shortlist candidates for the MA programme. Aspirants with a valid score in CUET-PG can also get admission in the MA programme. The minimum eligibility required for MA is graduation.

SAU Delhi offers a two-year LLM course divided into four semesters. The university offers LLM via the Faculty of Legal Studies. Aspirants who have passed a five-year integrated BA/ BBA/ BSc/ LLB or three-year bachelor's degree or three or four-years LLB with at least 50% aggregate can apply for the LLM course. SAU Delhi Admission 2025 FAQs
South Asian University offers 18 courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. The programmes include BTech, MTech, MSc, MA, LLM and PhD. The university offers admission to SAARC and non-SAARC regions. SAU conducts its own entrance exam for admission to all the courses. The university also accepts national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, CUET-UG, CUET-PG, CAT, MAT, XAT, GATE, etc. for admission to specific programmes.
Candidates need to pass MA/ MSc/ MCA/ MS/ MTech/ LLM with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of 55% aggregate in Science subjects to apply for SAU Delhi PhD admission. Besides, the university also conducts an entrance test to select candidates for PhD courses.
South Asian University has specified a refund policy for UG and PG courses. Students who wish to get refund need to fill out the google form available on the university's website. Below are the details for fee refund policy:
- If a candidate withdraws from the course up to the commencement of the Monsoon Semester, he or she will be eligible for refund of all deposits/fees paid after a deduction of the admission fee of USD 200
- Candidates withdrawing within 15 days of commencement of monsoon semester will be eligible for 50% refund of semester fee and 75% of security deposit. Admission fee and student-aid fund shall not be refunded
- Candidates withdrawing after 15 days of the commencement of the Monsoon Semester, will not be eligible for any refund of deposits/fees paid except 75% of security deposit
- In case of a candidate given admission pending the declaration of his/her result and if the candidate is unable to fulfill the admission criteria on declaration of the result, he or she will be entitled to refund of full semester fee and 75% of the security deposit. No refund of admission and student-aid fund will be made.
The refund is processed after the admission registrations are over or after on month of the commencement of the monsoon semester, whichever is later.
