SIMATS Chennai admission process is based on both entrance test and merit list set by the university. To apply for UG courses, candidates must have atleast passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with 50% aggregate. For B.E./B.Tech courses, eligible candidates need to appear in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) or Common Entrance Test conducted by Anna University. The selection is done through the Single Window Counseling process administered by Anna University via Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), with a required cut-off score of 200 (100 for Mathematics and 100 for Physics + Chemistry).
