SHIATS Entrance Exam BPEd, BPES 2020: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

Candidates who are interested in taking the admissions to one of the courses offered at SHIATS, will be refused on the following parameters:

1. If any candidate is found misleading the University with false marks, mark sheet,  information and been admitted in the
   University, the University reserves the right to reject the admission and further debar the candidate from seekingadmission in  the University in future.
2. It is the responsibility of the candidate to furnish complete and correct information in the application form. Any admission
   made on the basis of wrong or concealed information provided by the candidate or due to any oversight or error of the online counselling and admission division which is subsequently detected after the admission or joining of the candidate, will be cancelled at any time at the cost and the risk of the candidate.
3. Candidates against whom disciplinary action has been taken and who have been involved in any sort of established criminal offence in the past, will not be considered for admission.
4. If admission of a candidate is not in the interest of the university, the ViceChancellor reserves the right to cancel the admission of such a student, irrespective of the fact that he / she fulfils all the academic requirement of the programme. The decision of Vice- Chancellor shall be final and legally binding on the candidate.

Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, And Sciences,  will release the SHIATS 2024 entrance exam notification in the month of April, 2024 for the academic session 2024-2025.

Candidates can expect that the SHIATS 2024 exam notification will contain the following details:

• Important Dates: This will include key deadlines like application form availability, registration start and end dates, exam date, result declaration date, and counseling schedule.
• Eligibility Criteria: This section will outline the academic qualifications, age limit, and other requirements for applying to various programs offered by SHUATS.
• Exam Pattern: This will explain the format of the entrance exam, including the number of sections, type of questions (MCQ, subjective, etc.), number of questions, and marking scheme.
• Syllabus: The notification might provide a brief overview of the topics covered in the exam or direct you to a separate source for the detailed syllabus.
• Application Process: This will explain how to apply for the exam, including details about online and offline application procedures, application fee, and documents required.

Category of candidates and their allocation of seats in SHIATS 2024 etntrance exam is based on the following norms:

1. Regular Students:  Candidates selected for admission into various academic programmes offered by the university are considered as fulltime regular students. These students will be entitled to avail of all the facilities of the various academic departments and other fields in the university.
2.  Christian and General Candidates:  University reserves 50% seats for candidates of the Christian community and the remaining 50% seats shall be allotted to general candidates. Thus,  the total number of seats of the university have been categorized equally for Christian and general candidates. The total number of seats for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are given.
3.  Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Candidates: For the academic programmes in agriculture, agricultural engineering and allied sciences, fifteen percent (15%) seats in undergraduate programmes and twenty-five percent (25%) seats in postgraduate programmes will be filled through all India entrance test conducted by ICAR, New Delhi.
   However, eighty-five percent (85%) seats in undergraduate and seventyfive percent (75%) in postgraduate shall be filled by SHUATS.
   The ICAR category seats are inclusive of Christian and general candidates and the number filled in either category shall be adjusted against total seats in each category.
4. Foreign Candidates: Foreign candidates are not required to appear in SOET / merit based offline counselling / open online counselling. Admission to foreign candidates will be given on the recommendation of the Directorate of International Education and Training. The foreign candidates shall pay fees in U.S. dollars as mentioned in Table No. 9 of Prospectus 2023, which does not include the boarding and lodging (food expenses etc.) charges.
5. Non-resident Indian (NRI) Candidates:  i. Admission for NRI wards/NRI-sponsored candidates is available in all undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes.
    ii. NRI wards/NRI sponsored candidates are exempted from the merit based online counselling / open online counselling.
    iii. These admissions shall be against fifteen percent (15%) over and above seats available for various academic programmes.
    iv. Fees for NRI Wards/NRI sponsored candidates shall be the same as for foreign candidates as mentioned in Table No. 9 of Prospectus 2023.
6. Kashmiri Migrant Candidates: The Kashmiri Migrants will be considered for admission under special package during the session 2023–2024. They will be required to produce the supportive documents.

The SHIATS Entrance Exam is conducted by the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHUATS) itself. SHUATS is a private university located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1910 and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade of 'A'.

SHUATS offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of agriculture, technology, science, and theology. The university is known for its high-quality education and its commitment to research and innovation.

The SHIATS Entrance Exam is a competitive exam that is conducted annually to select qualified candidates for admission to various programs offered by the university. The exam is conducted in online mode and is of two hours duration.

Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences also accepts ICAR AIEEA scores to offer admission to aspirants in courses offered by the University. The break-up of seats wherein admission is offered through SHIATS Entrance Exam and ICAR AIEEA is as mentioned below:

The SHIATS Entrance Exam is a multiple-choice exam consisting of 100 questions. The questions are divided into three sections:

1. Physics: 30 questions
2. Chemistry: 30 questions
3. Mathematics: 40 questions

Each question carries 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. The exam is conducted in offline mode for a duration of 1.5 hours.

The types of questions that candidates can expect in the SHIATS Entrance Exam are:

1. Physics: Questions on concepts such as mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, waves, and optics.
2. Chemistry: Questions on concepts such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry.
3. Mathematics: Questions on concepts such as algebra, calculus, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, and vectors.

SHIATS Entrance Exam is conducted once a year. The exam is typically held in the month of June. However, the exact date of the exam is announced by the university on its official website a few months in advance.

Candidates can apply for the exam online through the university's website. The application process usually begins in the month of March and ends in the month of May.

In addition to the above programs, SHUATS also offers a number of Diploma and certificate programs in various fields.

The SHIATS Entrance Exam is a competitive exam, and the number of seats available in each programme is limited. Aspirants who wish to study at SHUATS must perform well in the exam to secure a seat.

As per the previous years trend, there is no sectional time limit. Candidates were given a total of 3 hours to complete the exam, and they could manage their time as they saw fit.

It is possible that the SHIATS may introduce a sectional time limit in the 2024 exam. However, this has not been confirmed yet. Candidates are advised to check the official website of the SHIATS regularly for updates on the exam format and syllabus. Even if there is no sectional time limit in the SHIATS 2024 entrance exam, it is still important to manage your time effectively.

There is no age limit for the SHIATS entrance exam. Candidates of all ages are eligible to apply for the exam. However, candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised board of education in order to be eligible for the undergraduate exams.

Here is the eligibility criteria for the SHIATS entrance exam:

• Candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised board of education.
• Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in the aggregate in the 12th standard or equivalent examination.
