AP PECET Syllabus 2025: The exam body, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) sets the AP PECET 2025 syllabus. The syllabus of AP PECET 2025 is divided into 2 parts - Physical Efficiency Test and Skill Test.To qualify in the exam and be eligible to enrol for the BPEd and DPEd courses candidates will have to qualify in both these tests. The B.PEd entrance exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for the B.P.Ed course (2 years) and D.P.Ed. (2 years) courses. The AP PECET exam will be held on June 25, 2025. Here, candidates can find all the details related to the syllabus and prepare for the AP PECET exam.

Q:   What is the Andhra Pradesh PECET skill test?
A: 

After the four compulsory events in the PET test, candidates will have to appear in the skill test. The skill test in games is of a maximum of 100 marks. The skills of the candidate shall be tested in any one of the following games opted by the candidate:

Ball Badminton, Kabaddi, Basketball, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Shuttle Badminton, Football, Tennis, Hand Ball, Volleyball and Hockey.     

Q:   How should candidates prepare for the Andhra Pradesh PECET exam?
A: 

As this is a physical efficiency test, candidates must be physically fit to go through all the tests and the skill games at the exam centres. There is ample time before the exam is to be conducted, and candidates must run, sprint and play their favourite sports to be highly active. They must keep themselves hydrated and away from injuries.

Q:   What is the Physical Efficiency Test in the Andhra Pradesh PECET exam?
A: 

As described by the exam body under the exam pattern, the physical efficiency test is a mandatory test which candidates will have to take part in order to quallify in the exam. The maximum marks of PET is 400 marks. For each of the events, marks shall will be awared by using the conversion tables approved by the Andhra Pradesh PECET Committee.

Q:   What topics are included in the APPECET syllabus?
A: 

As per the official Andhra Pradesh PECET syllabus there are no topics, but physical activities and skill tests which candidates need to qualify in a given time - 

As the Andhra Pradesh PECET is a physical efficiency test male candidates will have to complete a 100 or 800 meters run consisting of 100 marks and shot put of 6khs or long jump or high jump consisting of 100 marks.

For female candidates the race will be 100 or 400 meters of 100 marks, shot put of 4 kgs or long jump or high jump of 100 marks.

There will also be games as part of the syllabus, and they are - Ball Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shuttle Badminton, Tennis and Volleyball. The physical efficiency test will consist of 400 marks and the skill test in game will consist of 100m marks.

From the following table candidates can check the syllabus of AP PECET 2025 consists of the physical efficiency test and the skill test. This scheme of the AP PECET entrance test is for both the courses - B.P.Ed (2 Years) and D.P.Ed (2 Years).

Q:   What are the qualifying marks in the Andhra Pradesh PECET?
A: 

The qualifying marks in the Andhra Pradesh PECET will be 30% of the aggregate marks obtained by the student in the actual test items which is the Physical Efficiency Test for 400 Marks and Skill Test in games for 100 Marks. There is no minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories.

AP PECET Syllabus 2025 - Important Instructions

If candidates don’t choose any one game while filling out the AP PECET  application form 2025, they will not be allowed to attend the examination in the skill test and might also lose the chance to appear for a 100-mark skill test. However, they will also not be selected if they choose more than one game. Candidates are advised to fill out the application properly by choosing only one game. Changing the option at the time of the test will not be permitted.

Q:   What is the Andhra Pradesh PECET eligibility criteria for B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed course?
A: 

To apply for the B.P.Ed course candidates must have finished their third year of degree from recognised colleges or university in Andhra Pradesh. They must be a minimum of 19 as on July 1, 2025. Candidates will have to submit their pass certificate during counselling for final admission.

For the D.P.Ed. course candidates must be of a minimum 16 years as on July 1, 2025, and they must have passed intermediate or similar course approved by the Andhra Pradesh government. Candidates who are in their final year can also apply provided they will have to submit their qualifying certificate during counselling.

Q:   What is the age limit for Andhra Pradesh Pecet?

The Andhra Pradesh PECET eligibility criteria is prescribed by the exam body Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur under the supervision of APSCHE. As per the Andhra Pradesh PECET eligibility criteria, India citizen who have attained a minimum age of 19 years can fill in the application form. For BPEd courses, candidates must have a graduation degree, while for DPEd courses they need to have completed 10+2.
