The TS EdCET Part A (General English) section evaluates a candidate’s basic English language skills. It tests grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension abilities. Candidates are required to understand short passages and answer related questions.

TSEdCET Syllabus for Part-B (General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude)

The TS EdCET Part-B (General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude) part checks how much you know about the world around you and how well you can think like a teacher. It tests your awareness, reasoning, and understanding of education basics.

General knowledge of the environment around a candidate and its application to society

Knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in a candidate’s scientific outlook as is expected of an educated person

Questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries, especially about History, Culture, Geography, Ecology, Economics, General Policy and Scientific Research

Teaching requires certain characteristics like the ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognize individual differences, etc., apart from analytical thinking and general intelligence. One who has these characteristics will be able to become a good teacher after training. Questions relating to these aspects will be included to test one‘s teaching aptitude.

This section carries 15 marks in the TS EdCET exam, so focus on general awareness and basic teaching ideas to score better.
