AP PECET 2025: Every year, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, conducts the AP PECET exam to shortlist the candidates for BPEd and DPEd programs. The AP PECET 2025 Counselling schedule begins with the registration process until the seats are allocated to the candidates. What is AP PECET?

The AP PECET or Andhra Pradesh Physical Education Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur every year on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The state-level examination is conducted for admission into Bachelor of Physical Education (2-year) and Diploma in Physical Education (2-year) courses.

Q:   What are the physical and the skill tests in the Andhra Pradesh PECET exam?
A: 

Both physical and skill tests are taken during the Andhra Pradesh PECET Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The candidates who have registered for the exam must participate in the 100 m run, shotput ( 6kgs for men, 4kgs for women), and running (800m for men, 400m for women).

Candidates are given a choice between a long jump and a high jump. The entire physical efficiency test is worth 400 marks. Skill Test Candidates choose one game from a list (e.g., Ball Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shuttle Badminton, Tennis, Volleyball). The maximum marks in the Skill Test are 100.

Q:   Can candidates choose more than one game during the skill test in Andhra Pradesh PECET exam?
A: 

No, candidates are not allowed to choose more than one game for the Andhra Pradesh PECET skill test. They must select only one game during the application process. Choosing more than one game will disqualify the candidate from taking the skill test.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for Andhra Pradesh PECET?
A: 

Candidates should have appeared third year degree examination or passed a three-year degree recognized by any university in AP or any other university recognized as equivalent to it and should have completed 19 years of age on 01.07.2025. However, the candidate has to submit the pass certificate at the time of counseling.

AP PECET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

There are set eligibility parameters for the Physical Education entrance exam for both programs. The highlights for the same are given below:

Nationality: Candidates should be Indian citizens.

Native: Candidates should be a domicile of Andhra Pradesh only.

Education: The qualification requirements for BPEd and DPEd are -

  • BPEd (2-year): Candidate should have completed or appeared in the final year of a 3-year degree program from any recognized university in Andhra Pradesh

  • DPEd (2-year): Candidate should have completed intermediate or equivalent course recognized institute by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh

Age Limit: For BPEd, the candidate must have completed 19 years of age and for DPEd, he/ she must have completed 16 years of age.

AP PECET 2025 Syllabus

AP PECET Syllabus mainly comprises two sections- Physical Efficiency Test and Skill Test. For the Physical Efficiency Test, the maximum marks are 400 marks

The Candidate has to choose either High Jump or Long Jump. Candidate has to mention option in the application. Changing of option at the time of test is not permitted.

Note: If any Candidate fails to choose any one of these games in the application, the candidate will not be allowed to attend the examination in the skill test and he/she looses the chance to appear for 100 marks skill test. If any candidate chooses more than one game, then also, the candidate will not be allowed to the skill test. So, the candidate should fill the application properly by choosing only one game. Changing of option at the time of test is not permitted

AP PECET 2025 Admission Process

Registration for the AP PECET exam is done via online mode only. Given below are the major stages included in the state-level entrance exam:

Stage 1: Registration for AP PECET

To access the application form, candidates must make the payment for the exam by visiting the official website. Well, before the actual form filling the candidate is supposed to pay the money for the AP PECET exam. The entire process includes fee payment then form filling, and lastly printing the form with details you have filled.

  • Step 1: Fee Payment: Candidates can't fill the AP PECET application form without paying the amount. The exam conducting body has finalised the fee based on the candidate's caste and category. The table below will give you an insight about the amount you have to pay for the successful registration.

After filling in the details, click on the ‘Initiate Payment’ button, which will lead you to ‘AP Online Payment Gateway’. The application fee can be paid via Cash at APOnline Centers, Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.

  • Step 2: Check if the payment you nade is successful or not.

  • Step 3: Start filling the Application Form: Now you can start entering your details after paying the fees. You have to enter the basic details like your name, where you live, the exam centre you want, how can they contact you, and upload the documents in the said size.
  • Step 4: Final Step is where you print the details in the form. It will help in counselling maybe.

Stage 2: AP PECET Exam 2025: Appearing

The candidate can go through the highlights of AP PECET Exam Pattern and Syllabus. Each year, the physical entrance exam is held in two parts i.e. (a) Physical Efficiency Test and (b) Skill Test in Game.

(a) Physical Efficiency Test

  • Maximum Marks: 400
  • Events under this, the marks will be awarded by using the conversion tables approved by the APPECET Committee

  • The events are categorized as per the candidate’s gender

(b) Skill Test in Game

  • Maximum Marks: 100

  • Under this, the candidate's skills are tested via various games viz. Ball Badminton, Football, Kabaddi, Tennis, Basketball and more.

Note: Make sure to choose the desired game at the time of registration, failing to do so will result in losing 100 marks.

Stage 3: AP PECET Results, Merit List, and Rank

The qualifying marks to the candidates belonging to general and other categories will be assigned in the order of merit, based on aggregate marks obtained in the AP PECET Physical Efficiency Test and Skill Test.

  • This score or merit will be grouped and will be inclusive of incentive marks if they have any

  • For SC/ ST category candidates, no qualifying marks criteria is prescribed, so they will anyway be assigned the rank in the order of merit only

In case the merit list has a case, wherein more than one student scores the same aggregate marks, the tie will be resolved following the listed criteria:

  • Scores secured in the Physical efficiency test will be taken into consideration

  • In case of a further tie, marks scored in the Skill Test in games will be taken into consideration

  • In case of a further tie, the candidate’s Date of Birth will be considered i.e. the older candidates will be given priority based on age

  • In case of a further tie, a common rank will be given. At the time of admission, it is resolved based on qualifying exam marks (Intermediate or graduation as the case may be).

AP PECET 2025 Admit Card

Andhra Pradesh PECET admit card is released a few days before the AP PECET exam. It is mandatory for all the registered candidates to download the admit card. Without carrying the hard copy of the admit card, candidates won’t be allowed to appear for the physical education test. The hall ticket includes important details like the candidate’s name, DOB, exam centre, exam timing, and duration.

Candidates can check the below procedure to check the AP PECET 2025 result:

  • Visit the official website of the exam
  • Click on the download rank card link. You will be directed to the result page
  • Candidates need to enter their Registration Number, PECET hall ticket number, and Date of Birth
  •  Now, click on the 'View Rank Card' tab
  • Candidates can now view their score card and download from the official website

AP PECET 2025 Counselling

Andhra Pradesh PECET counselling is conducted in multiple phases for eligible candidates seeking admission in BPEd and DPEd courses across the state. Candidate must start with counselling registration by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 1000/- for (OC/BC), Rs. 500/- for (SC/ST), through payment gateway (Bill desk) provided on the website https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in by entering the hall ticket no and rank.

All candidates must upload all required documents on the website for the verification process and must take the original copies during the time of physical reporting to the college. The candidates will be allocated seats after the web options editing process ends.
