Candidates whose Class 12 results are awaited can also apply for the course through provisional admission and can submit the relevant documents before the due date.

Step 1.2: Click on 'Apply Now' on the Home page.

Step 1.3: Register with the basic details.

Step 2: Release of Merit/ Cutoff

The university announces the merit of shortlisted candidates based on their score achieved in the entrance test- SNUET. The university announces several merit lists until all the seats are filled for each specialisation. Apart from this, candidates who have applied for a specialisation which they failed to get on the first merit list can wait for the next merit list. All the shortlisted candidates will be informed with the admission offer letter, additional guidelines, and other information via e-mail.

Step 3: Admission Confirmation & Fee Payment

All the shortlisted students, to whom the admission offer letter is given by the university, will be requested to send the acceptance of admission for the programme being offered and submit the first installment of fee for various programmes within a week from the date of admission offer by any payment method, such as DD, online payment, etc. The total fee for the BA course is between INR 2.4 lakh and INR 8.2 lakh. Step 4: Document Verification

SNU gives students opportunities to build careers with minimal cost and great facilities.

Placements: After the completion of the programme, around 65-70 percent of students got placed in different companies. The highest package is 8 LPA, the average is 5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Nestled, Amul, Mother Dairy, ITC Foods, etc. No internship programs have been offered for our course up till now. Top roles offered in our course are research assistant, junior scientist, molecular biologist, and genetic engineer.

Infrastructure: All the required apparatus, reagents, incubators, freezer, and all other lab necessities are readily available in the air-conditioned labs. We have 5 labs in our department, including animal and plant biotechnology labs, which are sufficiently equipped for undergrad students. Classrooms are comfortable, spacious, and classes are easier to follow with the help of projectors and whiteboards.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified with sharp teaching techniques, making the subjects easier to follow. Their approachable personalities make it easier for students to clear doubts and concepts. The course curriculum equips us with a lot of Biotechnology techniques, theory makes the foundation stronger, and overall it helps build a strong foundation in the subject.

Other: I have always been interested in recombinant DNA techniques, animal biotechnology, etc. So after I completed my higher secondary, I immediately knew I had to enroll in this course. The management can be better, and it is one of the first things that needs improvement.

SNU builds a strong academic foundation and promises biotechnology opportunities.

Placements: After completing the M.Sc. in biotechnology from Sister Nivedita, about 70-80 percent of the students got placed. The highest package offered is 8 LPA. The lowest package offered was 3 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nestle, Amul, Mother Dairy, ITC Food, and Sun Pharma. There are no internship programs offered in our course as of now. Top roles offered are research assistant, junior scientist, molecular biologist, and genetic engineer.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college. The labs of the biotechnology department are well-equipped. It has almost all the instruments that are required for students pursuing biotechnology in UG and PG. The reagents are orderly arranged. The lab assistants of our department work tremendously to keep everything in its proper place. We have a plant issue culture lab and an animal issue culture lab (not every highly equipped, but enough for UG students). Classrooms are quite big enough to accommodate 60-70 students. We have smart teaching techniques. Our college has its own library with more than 5,000 books.

Faculty: The teachers of our department are extremely qualified, intelligent, and helpful. They teach every topic in extreme detail, which helps the students to create a strong base. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are sometimes moderately challenging. The mid-semester exams are extremely challenging most of the time. The pass percentage is about 80 percent.

Other: I always wanted to learn about Biology from a very molecular level. It makes me curious. Also Biology integrated with technology to help human life is something amazing. I wanted to do research work as well. This course gives one a hands-on lab experience. We have Diwali fests in our college. Our college gives up to 90 percent scholarship to students who have 85 percent and above in class 10th and 12th. We have different clubs like dance, music, drama, modelling, and so on. Our seniors here are very sweet. They always help and teach their juniors.

Good college. You can visit my college.

Placements: 85% of students got placed. The highest package is 40 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. 60% of students got internships and 90% of students got internships from your course. There are very low fees for every course good packages, high-paying company, top recruiting companies, and high packages offered in your course.

Infrastructure: Many facilities are available in my college like labs, library, auditorium, cricket ground, and football ground. Mess canteen is also available. Big campus, smart classrooms, AC available in classrooms, and canteen are available. For high safety, 3 medical are available on our campus. Sports management is good.

Faculty: Teachers do not help with exams, but teachers are very good, and especially the department of biotechnology teachers are excellent. The semester exams of this college are high. Though 60% for passing an exam is required. Curriculum is relevant and the teaching quality is good.

Freshman to senior - My college experience.

Placements: There are 60 students in each section. The highest package is 9 LPA. Here, you will get every practical knowledge of operation theatre. Based on good GPA you will get internships from 3rd year onwards. Minimum 70% of students get internships. Just maintain a good CGPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. We have Wi-Fi on every floor. There are particular labs for particular subjects with all necessary equipment. There are smart classrooms also with projector. Lastly, we have a library that opens 10:00 AM and closes at 7:00 PM. You can do your assignments and study there, and book borrowing is obvious. The university has its own hostel named Sandree Home. They provide us with food rooms along with a fridge, AC if needed, washing machines, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They help us with every doubt, you just have to be attentive in class which will eventually affect your studies and results. The course curriculum is relevant. They provide every practical session for understanding situations. Semester exams are not difficult at all. We have 2 exams every semester 20 marks, mid-semester 50 marks, end semester 30 marks for attendance, and class tests 50 marks practical that's all.

Other: I chose this course as I was interested in the medical field. The best thing about my course is that I will be able to help people with treatment and care. Maybe more practical sessions would help for better or I may say best understanding. Events and fests happen once a year but campus life is the best of all. We have a cafe on our campus. We have a basketball court, canteen, 4-5 food trucks, etc.

It is a roller coaster life after school.

Placements: This college offers placements, but the placement rate is only 10% out of 100 because hardly a few big companies visit the college for campus selection. Out of 70 students, only 7 of them are placed. The salary packages offered are not worth the hard work, and only sales and marketing roles are being offered, which have no relationship with the course outcome.

Infrastructure: The hostel has a good infrastructure, and food, and is very well-equipped with amenities required for a student like a freezer and washing machines. Mess management is also commendable having a particular time for serving food. Each hostel has a warden who is there to take care of the students. Cleaning of bathroom and bedroom is done 3 times a week which is very good. The only disadvantage is that the closing time of the hostel is 7 PM which restricts you from exploring the area you are living in. Labs are small with less equipment, which leads to a lack of personal expertise in handling experiments.

Faculty: Teachers are very biased towards some students. Teachers are unable to complete the syllabus. They are very responsible for informing students about any event, holiday, or exam. They are lenient with the exam. Sometimes they provide us with questions that are out of the syllabus and that have not been taught to us by teachers. They did not have proper timing for labs.

Other: In the college, the mass communication department is best handled and the department has a better schedule. The life science department is not up to the mark.

It is a great college indeed. I recommend others personally to visit and decide.

Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 48 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 15 LPA. Wipro, Amazon, Disney, and many more visit the college. I heard that around 90% of students got internships in companies like Amazon, Disney, and local area companies. Sculpture, VFX artist, and graphic designer roles are offered

Infrastructure: Everything is available. It is great as much I heard from students staying there. Students also said the behavior of guards and teachers staying there is good and polite. They love the way they are being treated there. But if you are coming from away, it might be kind of a difficult task for you to blend in.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified with higher degrees. They work for great companies. The teaching quality is great. The course is relevant and makes students industry-ready if they want to pursue their career in the animation or graphic Field. Exams are moderate. Around 85% of students pass every semester.
