The chances are decent to get into SRMIST in CSE specialization or a bit lower branches, but the cutoffs are subject to change every year. Since the institute offers around 7k seats in total, with a rank of around 3-4k you have fair chances.

Hello there, If you're trying to choose between LPU, SRM, and Thapar for B.Tech in CSE, I'd say you really need to think about what you're looking for from a college experience—especially when it comes to faculty support and placement opportunities. From what I've personally seen and heard from students, LPU stands out in a very unique way. The faculty at LPU is super approachable and diverse—many are from IITs, IIITs, and foreign universities, and they constantly keep themselves updated with the latest technologies. They don't just focus on bookish stuff—they push you toward hands-on learning, coding competitions, hackathons, and even startups. When it comes to placements, LPU has been climbing fast. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant, Capgemini, and many others regularly visit the campus, and the packages are genuinely competitive. You'll even find students grabbing packages of INR 20–30 LPA. On top of that, the placement cell is pretty aggressive and trains you from the very first year. Compared to Thapar and SRM, LPU offers way more global exposure with international tie-ups, industry-led curriculum, and certifications like AWS, Google Cloud, etc., integrated into the course.I hope this helps.
