Dissatisfied with the college as tier is no such experience in placement, teaching and syllabus.

Placements: Placement is not so good at Sikkim campus. Only a few company visited the campus last year for campus placement and only few got the jobs. We are the first batch of BCA and I am in the final semester and they have brought only BPO companies till now. They just bring few in and around companies near the location as many IT companies refuses to come so far.

Infrastructure: We only have one single building for whole department. No playgrounds, no canteens, it feels like more of coaching institute than a college. There are only 3 labs. Hostel is also far away from the university. You have to take taxi to reach hostel from college.

Faculty: You will be bored to see similar faces throughout your course. One faculty can be assigned any kind of role. Most of them are fresher. There are few experienced faculty members. There is no computer networks lab, no big data labs. Most of our students are frustrated as each semester the same faculty is assigned a new role. Or a new subject in which they are not master of. most of them are local teachers and prefers to teach in their local language i.e Nepali.

Other: There is a small scholarship for Sikkim residents. And the fee has been hiked from what it was at our time and what it is now. There are no fest or major events held by the college, only a few of their internal.

A University to learn lots and get more experience.

Placements: The placement cell is really working hard and bringing in lots of companies. SRM will provide you Campus exchange. Also companies like Indigo, Wipro, MET technologies and many more to companies to come for placements. For our senior batch of MCA 2-3 were recruited by Google.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure as of now is a single building attached with another from behind. But facilities are nice. There are huge classroom with facilities like projector and screen. We have 3 Advanced Computer labs. We have a library. And a sports room too.

Faculty: Since being a new university. Needs improvement in faculty and Course Curriculum is perfect. Talking about teachers being it a new University they need more experienced teachers specially in IT field. And regarding the course the subjects for a BCA students are so good with full of experience and knowledgeable topics.

Other: Overall I would rate it as 7/10. We have multiple clubs in university.

Fun but hectic at times, faculty is nice, but campus is not, but it’s still fun, you’ll enjoy it.

Placements: About 70% can get the perfect placement based on their academics.

Infrastructure: Everything is okay, but we don't have a perfect campus. Wi-Fi is available 24/7, labs are up to date, and events are fun. As for college, I wouldn't know as I don't live in a hostel, but other than that, everything is okay.

Faculty: It can get hectic during exam and test season, but it's easier to pass in SRM than to fail, so you'll be okay. It doesn't make you industry-ready, but you'll get knowledge on how to do so, it's fun, and okay. SRM is an average college, even faculty members are chill and nice, you'll get the hang of it.

Other: College is fun, but overall, it can get hectic at times, but it's fun. During admission, you can get scholarships if you're a COI holder, you can get 10% waiver on tuition fees, and there are state scholarships, too, and school toppers scholarships, where you don't have to pay any tuition fee for your entire 3 years.
