Admission to SMIT Sikkim 2025 is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The SMET test scores are used to determine admission to most programmes at SMIT Sikkim. Admission to SMIT College for B.Tech is based on the JEE/MET/SMIT Online Test. 

SMIT Sikkim offers four undergraduate and four graduate courses. Engineering, Science, Computer Applications, and Management are among the courses available. SMET / JEE Main / MET / GATE / CAT / MAT / CMAT are the entrance examinations approved for SMIT Sikkim admission.

For an International Candidate to get an admission at Manipal institute of technology who can be a Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) or a Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Foreign Nationals or Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, Candidates seeking admission under this category should be a Foreign Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries must undergo a test that shall be conducted by the SMU in order for the International Students to obtain Registration Certificate or No Objection Certificate from Foreign Registration Office of India. And then follow the specified directions from the Officials at SMU for the finalisation of the admission process.

At Sikkim Manipal institute of technology for the students who are in the category of Foreign National/Person Of Indian Origin/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries must go through a screening that will be conducted by SMU in order to get admission here. The Foreign Candidates need to obtain a registration certificate or no objection certificate from the foreign registration office located at Gangtok, India for admission.
