December 14, 2023: Swami Vivekananda University established the Centre for Tagore Studies and Performing Arts, emphasizing the university's commitment to conserving and propagating Rabindranath Tagore's literary heritage. Chancellor Dr. Nandan Gupta presided over the opening, which included distinguished guests such as Prof. Basabi Fraser and Prof Neil Fraser. Prof Subrata Kumar Dey, Vice Chancellor, and Prof Deb Narayan Bandyopadhyay, CEO, were also in attendance.

Through interdisciplinary studies, this program, inspired by utopian aspirations, attempts to bridge literature and performing arts. December 14, 2023: The Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship inaugurated its dedicated website as part of the Vidyasagar Academy's celebration of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's 203rd birth anniversary. State Education Minister Bratya Basu launched the website, which aims to help academically gifted youngsters from low-income families pursue higher education. This scholarship is available to students in classes XI and XII, as well as undergraduates, postgraduates, and those seeking M.Phil and doctoral degrees at state-aided institutions. During the event, Basu emphasized the launch of the Vidyasagar Academy website.

The new website is an excellent resource for anyone interested in Vidyasagar's views on India. In addition, the book "Mahasagar Vidyasagar," a collection of his writing and poetry, was released. District-level events were held in Purulia and Alipurduar districts as part of the academy's state-level outreach. Among these initiatives was a District Level Essay Competition held in cooperation with Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University and Alipurduar University on the theme of 'Vidyasagar and Bengali Modernity.' Students from these universities took part in various courses, and the program was overseen by professors Sumit Chakrabarti from Presidency University and Pinaki Roy from Raigunj University. Winners received commendation certificates and prizes, with the first prize being Rs 5,000, the second prize at Rs 3,000, and the third prize for Rs 2,000.

The campus is very beautiful and it is best for you.

Placements: Placements are average. Around 60 percent of students got placed. The average package is 3 LPA-4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro visited the campus. Internship opportunities are also provided for students.

Placements: The overall placement is between 80-85%. Recruiting companies are mass IT recruiters, product and core IT companies, consulting, and analysts. About 70-75% of students secure internships. B.Tech students are primarily hired into core technical roles.

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty and decent placement at an affordable course fees.

Placements: Placement in the university was decent, with around 70% students getting placement opportunities. The average package was 3 to 4 LPA. The placement cell also helped students with training and interview preparation. Internship opportunities were also provided to all our colleagues.

The best college for BBA and BCA students.

Placements: The most attractive thing in this college is its high-paying package from companies like Wipro, TCS, and other highly reputed companies. The placement in our college is not like a piece of cake belonging to some of the students, it's reachable.

I am absolutely satisfied.

Placements: Currently I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE. I am in 3rd year, and recently our college organized a placement camp for the seniors. Lots of renowned companies are Deloitte, TCS, Tata, and many more. Almost every student with good potential gets their placement. The highest placement offer has been 28 LPA. Roles like manager, HR, and many more are being offered.

All facilities are available. Faculty and placements are very good.

Placements: 95% of students are well placed. The highest salary is Rs. 40,000 per month. The lowest salary is Rs. 26,000 per month. Almost 99% of students get internships from our college. Companies that recruit from the Swami Vivekananda University B.Tech CSE department include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Cognizant.

BTech in CSE fees has not been revealed by Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore for academic year 2026 yet. Last year, this course had a total fees of INR 5.02 lakh. Candidates can expect a slight increase in total fees this year for BTech in CSE.

No, candidates cannot apply for Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore BTech courses directly. Instead, candidates are required to appear in WBJEE in order to qualify for BTech admissions.
