Absolutely satisfied with the good library, teachers, and best practicals.
Placements: 75 percent of students are placed. 7 LPA is the highest package, 4 LPA is the lowest, and 5 LPA is the average package. Suguna, Venkatesh chicken, ambulance, dairy industries, Aavin, etc. are the top recruiters. 100 percent of students got internships. Doctors, clinicians, veterinarians, etc., are the top roles offered. In the internship, we got around an 11k stipend, which is less.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with libraries around 10,000 books are available in our college library. The hostel was good with food and the mess bill is high due to extra but it is manageable. I like our hostel and the warden is good and friendly. He is a gem and Dean is the best.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are more friendly and they teach us very well. Yes, curriculum is relevant to our studies and many industries are present. Exams are not difficult but time is less for studying. But nowadays it's easy to study; they gave more time to study and in between there is a holiday.
Other: Many practical things are present. Stress-free campus.

Placements: I got 7.2 OGPA, passed in first class. The college environment is very good. The college has a placement cell, and it provides good placement offers to students. In Enclave NCC, I got a C certificate. The college hostel facility is available separately for both boys and girls. I studied in the library daily, and teachers also make notes for you.
Infrastructure: College classrooms, library, hostel, and Wi-Fi facilities are available. The food in the mess was very good, and canteen food was also available and good. Medical facilities are available and good. Sports and games are available and good. The college provides every facility well and is awesome. I recommend this college for everyone.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. There are more industrial visits and an All-India educational visit. The teachers make studying easy. It is a very good college for learning veterinary science. The exams are longer, but we study and enjoy.

No campus life as I imagined before joining. Too much rules and restriction but good scope.
Placements: 100% of students passed out from college and got a job. As veterinary has good scope, the highest salary after placement is 80000, and the lowest is 30000. Private clinics, government jobs after clearing entrance exams, the army, zoos, and so many others are offering jobs. Internship is provided from college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There is no Wi-Fi facility for students. Labs, classrooms, and libraries are average. The hostel is built well. It lacks hygiene practices, and the food is also not good. There is no canteen. Medical facilities are also poor. Sports and games are good for boys only.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. But lacks effective methods of teaching mostly. Only a few professors know how to teach. Yes, the curriculum is good and effective. There is no semester system; there are 3 internals and 1 board exam each year, which is quite difficult for students. Pass percentage is 98%.
Other: I chose this course as I love animals. The best thing about this course is you get to treat the animals, which is noble work. I think they should increase the stipend, as it is very low; especially for PG, it is only 4000. Every year 1 cultural event is organized. Campus is less crowded. The network is average here. Campus surrounded by a village. Scholarships are there for only Tamil Nadu students. No, as such, extracurricular activities are organized.

Good veterinary college in the heart of Chennai City.
Placements: As far as the veterinary sector is concerned, it is very rare to get companies for campus recruitment. But MVC and TANUVAS faculty try to get pharmaceutical, poultry, dairy, and animal welfare companies for campus recruitment every year. The veterinary sector has a wide variety of options for placement. The campus offers help for scholarships in both UG and PG levels. For freshers, the highest package was 50k.

Every department has a well-furnished laboratory and classroom. The campus was built in the 1800s, and the architecture from the colonial times is still well preserved. Madras Veterinary College Hostel is average. Rooms are small. Hostel food is Tamil cuisine. Food is fine. Hostel rent is reasonable. The hostel has a basketball court, badminton court, table tennis, gym, etc. The hostel offers UPSC training.
Faculty: All of the staff are well qualified, and the majority of the staff are approachable. Faculty regularly conduct conferences relevant to the industry and the veterinary sector. Exams in TANUVAS are quite hard compared to other veterinary universities, and they are quite strict with evaluation.
Other: Since the campus is situated in the heart of Chennai City, travel is very convenient. The railway station, metro, and bus stand are all easily accessible. Campus events for extracurricular activities are not common. The hostel has to be improved.

    A:

Choosing between VCRIT and TANUVAS for B.V.Sc. requires a thorough evaluation of their strengths and weaknesses. VCRIT has modern facilities, experienced faculty, smaller class sizes, and a focus on practical learning through clinical exposure and farm visits. It also offers lower fees, depending on scholarship opportunities and government regulations. However, it may not have the same established reputation as TANUVAS, especially among older generations or employers in specific regions.

TANUVAS, on the other hand, has an established reputation for excellence in veterinary education, offering a wider range of specializations, strong industry collaborations, advanced research facilities, and an active alumni network. Its location in Chennai may be less convenient than VCRIT's Thanjavur location.

The "better" choice depends on individual priorities and circumstances. If you prioritize a modern campus, smaller class sizes, and hands-on experience, VCRIT might be a good fit. If you value an established reputation, wider specialisation options, strong industry connections, and research opportunities, TANUVAS might be the better choice.

To make an informed decision, consider factors like scholarship options, financial aid availability, accommodation costs, and long-term career goals alongside the strengths and weaknesses of each college.
