It has a bad location with a steep hill, which would be exhausting to walk.
Placements: Most of our students from the 1st year are not able to progress consecutively till the final year due to strictness regarding attendance. Students should forget about internships. Sadly, only the B.A course general students are not taken seriously for internships inside USTM. The political department conducts the NPTEL exam in the 2nd semester.
Infrastructure: The hostel charges a high price for a tight room that we have to share, along with poor facilities, unsanitary washrooms, a time-consuming and poor working environment, and medical facilities (take so much time for simple things). The basketball court is dusty. There is a desert-like football ground.
Faculty: Most teachers are not helpful or have little to no concern about students' doubts. My juniors are being taught the same things they taught us in the previous years, so I believe it's repetitive. There is not a lot of engagement between teachers and students. The pass percentage is low. It is not because the semester exams felt difficult, but due to attendance and fines, many students left the institute.

USTM is a good college with many facilities.
Placements: Average students are also placed in our course, and placements are good enough for us, and I like it personally. In the 2024- 2025 placement, the highest package reached 5.4 LPA, the average was 3.24 LPA, and the median for B.Sc. was 2.5 LPA. After watching this, I feel like it's okay with this placement.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not good enough, food and rest, cleaning, and all are good. This university has two hostels, Hostel A and Hostel B, so divided into two groups. Rooms are perfectly divided into two-seater and three-seater.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in our course. Exams are taken really well, all the rules and regulations are okay, and it's fine. USTM organizes exams semester-wise. Different semester exams are conducted in different blocks, and exams are taken very seriously. The course is somehow okay.
Other: This course is good for research and all, and I like that, so I took this course.

It has good faculty and nice infrastructure. There is no good placement rate.
Placements: Placements are not that good. One of the students from the senior batch got placed with a package of 1.3 LPA. The placement rate is low. Companies also recruit students from abroad. If a student studies hard, then placements are not that tough.
Infrastructure: The equipment required for our practical is present. Honestly, some of the equipment is not in good working condition. I am staying in an off-campus hostel, so the infrastructure is good, but Wi-Fi is not available right now. However, it is mentioned in the college prospectus.
Faculty: Faculty members are good at explanation and very approachable. The syllabus had been completed on time. The management of time while they are teaching is also perfect. Exams are conducted strictly. There are rules during examinations that are strictly obeyed. The course curriculum is good.
Other: I chose this course because I loved the subject from the very start. The best thing is that I get to do lab work, and I love doing practical work. My favourite days of the week are when we have our practical classes. The lab equipment can be better. Management of event organisation should also be improved. I have not attended any fests because they are not held.

Really good quality of teaching and the best infrastructure.
Placements: 75% of students got placed. The highest package is 35 LPA, and the lowest is 10 LPA. This is best for a student at Tata and Infosys. 80% of students who complete this course from this university got internships. It offers a vast array of opportunities, like forest rangers and many more forest officials.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, AC, and departmental library available. Food is average, games and sports are top-notch. Hostel facilities are above average, and the guidelines and guidance are top-level. I am eager to tell my juniors to come to this college and take their friends with them.
Faculty: The college has helpful teachers. They are well qualified and experienced. Many are holders of a doctorate. It is very relevant and helpful in serving the future. Semester exams are a bit tough, but if you study well, you can pass. 35% is the pass percentage. 35% is the pass percentage .
Other: The course is related to the raw forest. They should add more practical classes.

The environment was good, and faculty was very helpful.
Placements: After completing the 4th semester in law, students could apply for placements provided by the placement cell. It was based on the best performance of students in their academic roles, internships, and other curricular activities. The placement cell in the college had visits from companies like Wipro, Infosys, and USB. Around 60% of students got placed after completing the course. Litigation was my career plan after this course.
Infrastructure: The room facilities were good. There were 3 bed students in one room. The rooms were big and comfortable for 3 students. The meals were good. Every morning, they gave us fried rice, puri sabji, khichdi, egg curry, roti, etc. For lunch, there was dal and bhaji with chutney, and for dinner, roti or rice with chicken, paneer, fish, egg curry, etc. The hostel was on the university campus.
Faculty: I knew the teaching staff was appointed by Mumbai University, but they could still do some work on this. There were different types of courses, and for each course, they gave different timings. For our course, they gave 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete, and our course followed a 75:25 pattern.
Other: Choosing law was my own decision, and I thought that DY Patil was a good university to study law. I believed they needed to improve their teaching staff.

This university has a very clean and green campus.
Placements: Most of my class is doing placements in chemical companies. I think the package is between 2-4 LPA. About 20% of students are doing internships. In Chemistry M.Sc., students are mainly getting offers from chemical companies and other institutions like junior colleges and colleges from guest professors.
Infrastructure: In the hostel, delicious food is provided, and the lodging facilities are very good. You can choose a single room or a double room depending on your budget because it's a private university. Wi-Fi is available for use, and the hostel offers complete freedom.
Faculty: All teachers and staff are qualified and competent, and they are very helpful. Whatever you need, like study materials, they will provide through Google Classroom. Semester exams can be a bit challenging if you are not regular in class; if your attendance falls below 75%, you will have to pay a fine.
Other: I'm interested in Chemistry. We have 70 students in the Chemistry department, but some students haven't cleared their backlog subjects. The university campus hosts around 6,000 students.
