Yes, Gauhati University offers a two-year MBA programme across four specialisations, namely Marketing, Finance, HR, Production. Spread over four semesters, admissions to MBA at GU starts in the month of March and the final shortlist is released in the months of May-June. The course is inclusive of a 60-day internship/ in-plant training for them to learn the basics of solving real life problems in business/ industrial organisations. The programme is under full sponsorship of UGC and is recognised by AICTE. Admission to MBA is completely entrance-based. The university conducts its own entrance exam for admission to MBA. Gauhati University MBA admission is not based on the applicant's merit in graduation. Candidates with a valid score in MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/other national-level exam can get admission at the university for an MBA. However, the university has specified a minimum eligibility requirement for MBA admission. Candidates with an aggregate score of at least 50% (45% for reserved categories) in bachelor's degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the programme. Gauhati University MBA admission is completely based on the merit scores obtained by students in the university/national-level entrance exam along with their merit at the undergraduate level.
