Admissions to BSc courses at Usha Martin University are made based on applicants' merit in Class 12. To be eligible to apply, students must first apply for the preferred BSc course. The students can either fill out the application form online or visit the admissions office at Ranchi/Patna to submit the application.

Once the application process is over, the university shortlists students based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Class 12) and university seat intake. Usha Martin University offers eight general BSc courses and one BSc Hons course. The specialisations offered under three-year general BSc courses are Bachelor in Physiotherapy (B.PT), Nursing, Medical Radiography & Imaging Technology, MLT (LE) Programmes, MLT, Operation Theatre Technology, Mathematics and Computing, Criminology, and Forensic Science. The four years BSc Hons course is offered with a specialisation in Agriculture.

The university offers two modes of application submission online and offline. In the online mode, the student can find the application form by visiting the university's official website. The form is located under the ‘Admissions section’. In the offline mode, students are required to first download the form and submit it at the admission office in Ranchi/Patna.
