It is one of the best colleges for pursuing the B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication course.
Placements: 40% of students get placed in the course of journalism and mass communication. Media placements on campus are generally rare as they don't let out vacancies. The lowest package ranges from 1.0-1.5 LPA. The average package ranges from 3.0-3.5 LPA. The highest package ranges from 4.5-6.0 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Network10, CNN, and Aaj Tak. 80% of students got internships in well-known media houses like India Today, Doordarshan, and Dainik Jagran. Roles offered are news anchor, reporter, scriptwriter, actor, host, event manager, PR officer, etc.
Infrastructure: One of the best infrastructure and facilities are offered in our course. There is no other TV Lab in Dehradun, but it has got such a lab, which includes Mac systems, controller console switchers, teleprompter, EP, radio labs, photos labs, Panasonic 4K cameras, 80D, and the freedom to use it all with permission for whatever creative work we intend to do with it. The food is very affordable for students. The taste and quality also meet requirements. It has one of the best dosas, samosas, and parathas. It charges Rs. 60 for a good filling of dosa.
Faculty: Teachers have always been helpful, no matter what, be it getting internships, permission, participation in initiatives, or motivation. More than qualifications in studies, they have so much experience to share with us, with which learning gets even better. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant to what the course is actually about. The syllabus helps in other aspects of life as well. It instigates brainstorming. Exams are not difficult. If we listen to what is being taught in class carefully, then we can easily pass exams. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I opted for this course because I am always a bubbly and outspoken girl. I want to become an actor, and my family wouldn't support that, so I thought of entering the media line through this course. Eventually, I explore so much more than acting as talents and skills within myself. I have no idea I could be such an amazing anchor, reporter, director, and writer. Things I'd like them to improve are organising events in a more organised manner. It should invite better artists for fests, a better word of mouth, and invest a little more in PR.

Strict rules are present on campus.
Placements: About 25% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is about 4 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. News channels like Aaj Tak, Zee News, etc., are involved. 25% of students get internships in industries like Aaj Tak, Zee News, etc. Roles like photographer, video editor, and anchor, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: College facilities are average, neither too good nor too bad. The infrastructure is quite good with labs, classrooms, library, etc. I am not a hosteler, but the hostel facilities are good, along with the quality of food in the mess and canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable, and they teach very well. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready for future jobs and industrial work. The semester exams are quite difficult, and the pass percentage is 80%
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in production and filming. It provides more experience to students.

There are many strict rules in the college.
Placements: Around 45% of students got placed in my college this year. The highest package is 9 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. The lowest package is 4.5 LPA in my course. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Accenture, etc., recruit students from my college. Around 35% of students got internships. Roles offered are graphic designer, video editor, anchor, and camera person.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite good. The infrastructure is well-maintained with proper Wi-Fi facilities, good labs, big classrooms, and a library with all books. I am not a hostel student, but hostel facilities are quite good with a mess and a canteen. Proper medical facilities and sports and games are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, experienced, and knowledgeable. They help us a lot and treat us like their friends. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready for future jobs and industrial work. Semester exams are quite difficult. The pass percentage is 90%.

Q:   Can I get admission in Uttaranchal University with 60% in Class 12?
A:

You may get into the univeristy with 60% in Class 12, however, this depends on several factors. Uttaranchal University UG admissions require students to pass Class 12 in a relevant stream and with specified aggregate. The aggregate usually ranges from 42% to 50% (based on the course and category). Hence, yes, 60% is certainly enough to clear that criteria. However, as admission to certain courses, such as BTech are done on an entrance basis, students need to provide scores obtained in the accepted exam to be eligible for admission. Students may connect with the admission desk of the university to learn more about the admission chances of the university.
