Friendly faculty and a top-notch infrastructure .
Placements: The placements this year were excellent with our seniors getting placed at reputed companies like McCann, World group, NDTV, and Hill & Knowlton with the highest CTC of 5 LPA. The internships here are also good where our seniors got placed with The Quint.
Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best studios. All the necessary resources for the course of journalism are readily available. We also have an editing bay equipped with desktops for editing and a separate podcast room. We also have a brand new AI lab where we learn designing and the use of AI at its best.
Faculty: The faculty provided by the college is one of the best. They are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. The thing which I like the most is the friendly faculty which not only guides us in our career but in real life as well. We have very different types of assignments where we mostly do practical rather than theory.
Other: The best thing about my course is that we get to do a lot of practical things in a very student-faculty-friendly environment.

Chose your college wisely.
Placements: In terms of placement this college offers 100% placements. All most each and every student get placed. The average package is around 4-6 lacs per annum. Students get placed in Noida tv. Internships is must for every student. There is a social internship in 1st year and another in the final year. Most of the jobs consists of content writers.
Infrastructure: The college Infrastructure is very luxurious. The facilities of Wi-Fi, labs classrooms, library and also E library. The library is fully air conditioned. It also have a section called as news cafe there number of newspapers are available. The hostel facilities is good. The washrooms are maintained and the quality of food is also good. The campus also have number of cafes and food court for your craving. Medical facilities is also provided ambulance is also there. The warden and other staffs are also very polite and nice. There are numbers of sports, games and events happening all the time.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and also currently working in media fields. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant the also some extra is included that does not make any sense but we have to do it. There is no semester exam but continuous evaluating process. The passing percentage is 33. Supplementary exams charges is 1000 rs per paper.
Other: There are lots of events happening. It's irritating sometimes. The college life is little boring.

I am a bit satisfied with our school because of our teachers.
Placements: Around 89% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is INR 3,00,000. I am not sure of the top recruiting companies that came to our school. Around 95% of students got internships in my course, mainly in news companies. The top role offered is that of a news anchor.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. The classroom, library, and labs are well maintained. But there is a problem with Wi-Fi. I am not living in the campus hostel, I am living outside PG. But what I heard was that the furniture is very good. Food is also okay.
Faculty: The faculty of our school is very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach in a very interactive way. They make everyone participate in the classroom. Mostly, it makes students industry ready. Our school does not conduct exams. It is fully practical based, only we have to do assignments.

Overall, I believe the college's experience and reviews will be negative.
Placements: Placements are not up to the mark. They have very poor placements. Companies that have been mentioned in the brochure do not come for the placements, and the packages that the students are offered are also very poor. One should not fall into the trap of saying that the college provides good placements.
Infrastructure: We have all types of studios. We have a podcast studio, a broadcast studio, and separate editing rooms for post-production. Hostel rooms are not available for all students of all years. They only have space for first-year students. The hostel rooms are spacious and good, but the hostel mess food is terrible.
Faculty: We do not have exams throughout the course. Our college believes in the concept of continuous evaluation, and we are marked on the assignments we are asked to do. The faculty here is biassed towards some students and creates discrimination among other students.
Other: The crowd here is pleasant, and you get a taste of campus life.

Feel free to ask me about SoMM.
Placements: Still studying. School is trying to get in more recruiters. Let's SEE what happens. If placement is your priority then keep this as your backup option for now. It might change. We have visiting faculty members too. It is new addition to UPES. So lower your hopes and expectations if you got any.
Infrastructure: SoMM has got excellent infrastructure. Campus Hostel is also decent. Both of them good. Not disappointing. New hostel building for boys is under-construction. If food is your priority in accommodation then consider few more options. Food is decent. Good facilites. New changes are on the way.
Faculty: Currently B.A. programme had no exams till now. This might change. We have liberty to do minors from other schools too. This part is excellent but grading is not up to the mark. You will more opportunities (maybe). Do not mistake of coming from Mumbai to study here. You might regret it later. Though India's first digital school. If you are interested in print them go for it. Print is not dying in India any sooner.

Satisfied with the college because of the faculty, course, engagement, campus.
Placements: The School of Modern Media is new. It's only been 3 years now. So next year, the students of the 3rd year are going to get placement. But then again, there are a lot of big companies that recruit from the other schools of UPES like School of Business, School of Engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are extremely good and there's studio, editing room, Podcast, makeup room, etc. All these rooms are newly build and amazing. The Wi-Fi of our campus is a bit slow. Food court and HOD is amazing. There were two different libraries in Kandoli campus but recently it has been moved to one.
Faculty: Faculty here are too nice. They are helpful and super friendly. The curriculum is also designed in a way to make us ready for our path. We mostly don't have exams. The modern media has a continuous evaluation system with assignments and projects whole year.
Other: I would hope that the campus Wi-Fi gets better. Other than that, everything is good enough. Talking about the best thing about this course here is that they give the most practical experiences which helps us learn better.

The faculty is really very good.
Placements: Don't know much about the placements as not a single batch of this course have been passed out till now. But we think that the placements will either be average of above average as the faculty which teaches here is very experienced and we'll renowned. Some are the editors of the times network, some are at a very reputed position in voot, etc.
Infrastructure: Currently the building of our course which falls under "The School Of Modern Media" is under construction. But, we have got a glimpse of the building and to be honest the infrastructure is outstanding. After seeing the infrastructure one will be shocked after getting to know that this infrastructure is of a college building. The hostel facility is above average, the medical facility is average but the wi-fi provided by them is pretty below average.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is top notch. The faculty consists of industry leaders as some are the editors of the time group, some have a reputed position in voot or ndtv, etc. The course curriculum is pretty relevant and will make Students industry ready. We don't have exams for our course instead we have assignments and I would say that it is not difficult, rather it is different. The pass percentage should be 33% according to me.

Overall it was fine but not what I expected from this college.
Placements: They have been promising us to provide 100 % placements since the beginning but the package is very low. Top recruiting companies are not so known. Only 10 from 100 students do get good placements. And not so many global opportunities are being provided.
Infrastructure: The campus is good and nicely built. The food is also very hygienic and clean. Moreover the Wi-Fi never works properly and the classes are fine and digital. The ambiance is also good and clean in some schools for example the school of liberal studies and media cluster.
Faculty: The faculty members are very less knowledgeable about what they are teaching and not very supportive towards the students. They just only know how to give minimum grades to the students. But I will also mention about the teachers I am grateful for who actually works.
