Uttaranchal University offers several courses, admission to which are mostly entrance-based. With the limited number of seats and ever-increasing competition, Uttaranchal University admission chances vary depending on a lot of factors. Students need to appear for the entrance examination accepted by the university (if applicable) in addition to clearing the basic eligibility. You may get into the univeristy with 60% in Class 12, however, this depends on several factors. Uttaranchal University UG admissions require students to pass Class 12 in a relevant stream and with specified aggregate. The aggregate usually ranges from 42% to 50% (based on the course and category). Hence, yes, 60% is certainly enough to clear that criteria. However, as admission to certain courses, such as BTech are done on an entrance basis, students need to provide scores obtained in the accepted exam to be eligible for admission. The Uttaranchal University admisson process begins with the release of application forms. Candidates willing to apply can fill out the application form after meeting the course-specific eligibility criteria either through online or offline modes. 

After filling out the application form, the University will shortlist candidates based on the selection criteria. Uttaranchal University admission criteria for most of the courses is merit-based. For certain courses such as MBA and BTech, the admission criteria is entrance-based. The University accepts various national level entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, JEE Main etc. to shortlist candidates.

For MBA admission, the University also conducts a personal interview round.

After the selection process is completed, the University will issue a offer letter for selected candidates. The candidates have to accept that offer letter by paying the admission confirmation fee. On payment of the admission confirmation fees, selected candidates will be recieve and admission confirmation mail on their registered email ID.

Uttaranchal University admission is based on candidates' performance in the CUET UG entrance exam. Interested aspirants can apply and appear for the exam to be eligible for admission to UG courses. 

The CUET 2026 exam will be held tentatively between May 11 and May 31, 2026, in CBT mode.
