The placement was much great in this course, because the companies should not visit in this campus for this course.

Clean, modern campus with no restrictions and no power cuts.
Placements: They offered placements from the third-to-last year of the degree. The maximum package was 30 LPA. Around 70% of students were placed. Students were allowed a maximum of one backlog. Beyond that, they were not allowed to sit for campus placements. Students were guided by faculty to prepare for interviews and improve their interview manners. Placement drives were conducted on the last Friday of every month. Companies like Microsoft, Volvo, Vedanta, Electrosteel Limited, CCL, Maruti Suzuki, Rangta Steel, Banger Steel, and many more visited the campus.
Infrastructure: The campus was full of greenery. Wi-Fi was available, and there was a small Saraswati temple inside the entry area. There were plenty of shaded sitting areas. Canteens were available every 1/2 km on the campus. The campus also had transport facilities, so students could easily go from one department to another. Faculty members also lived inside the campus. Students could interact with teachers after college and clear their doubts about courses and placements.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and guided students not only about the course but also about the scope of the degree after leaving college. There were a total of 8 semesters for B.Tech and 6 semesters for Diploma. Every semester, students had to pay their semester fees and exam fees. Students were allowed to pay only 2 semesters' fees if there was a financial problem. Teachers and the principal also provided help to students whenever they needed it. Faculty members were very helpful. They were supportive in guiding students through every situation they faced.
Other: The college was near my house. It offered higher education opportunities from B.Tech to M.Tech. There were also degree-to-degree course upgrade options.

A glimpse of BIT, Sindri.
Placements: There is 80–85% placement in 2026. The highest package is 13 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 6.5 LPA. Among all the companies, Vedanta is the top recruiting company. Around 60–70% of students get internships at Vedanta, JSW, Dalmia, Tata, and many more. Process Engineer is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and library are both good, but labs still contain old equipment. Wi-Fi is available in most places. The hostel rooms are good, but the mess food is bad. A medical health centre is available. There are also sports and games facilities.
Faculty: Professors are good and well-educated. Most of them have completed their B.Tech from BIT Sindri and pursued their M.Tech and Ph.D. from IITs. The curriculum is good and relevant to the industry. Semester exams are moderate, neither too tough nor too easy. They are good for testing students' education.
Other: Overall, the college is good. It provides good placements that are very affordable for lower-middle-class families.

Multiple labs and classrooms are of top-notch quality, and a very huge library is available on our campus. The hostel facility is also top-notch. The quality of food available in the canteen is also good, and in our college, a medical facility is available. Weekly sports competitions and games are held in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They help us study the course provided in our college, making students industry-ready. The semester exams are not so difficult, with a passing percentage of 50 percent in our college.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because I was very curious about the course. I would like to improve the infrastructure of classrooms. Regular events are organized in our college. We got an early scholarship.

BIT Sindri (Dhanbad), campus, structure, placement, environment, facilities, and faculty.
Placements: Approximately 90 percent of students got placed from my branch. In all good companies, the highest package is 40 LPA, my friend got that. Top recruiting companies are Tata and Reliance. 90 percent of students in my branch got placed in good companies. Most of them are placed in Tata or Reliance. We got a surveyor role.
Infrastructure: In BIT Sindri, almost every facility is available. The infrastructure is also top notch. Wi-Fi is available in the whole campus. A huge library is also available. Classrooms are also very big. The quality of our hostel is top-notch. Quality of food is very good. Medical facilities, sports, and games are also available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified. They are also helpful in our studies. They also used to give us life advice. This course is very relevant. It makes us industry-ready. 10/10 in my opinion. The semester exam in BIT Sindri is not so difficult. The passing criteria is 50 percent.
Other: I had an interest in Mechanical engineering. It has a very vast syllabus. I would like to improve it. The surroundings of BIT Sindri are incredible. We also got a scholarship on time. The campus is very large and beautiful.

Good ROI. Best for core branches.
Placements: It is okay. Companies do come with small packages of 3-4 LPA, while some offer 7-8 LPA packages. Students do get placed, but because of the large number of students, including all tech branches, the chances are comparatively lower. Companies come, but the number of job opportunities available is limited.
Infrastructure: The mess quality is good. They do not serve junk food, and although the variety is not very diverse. The food is better compared to many other colleges. There are mostly no power cuts, and hygiene is maintained. The required infrastructure for the course is available, but it is not used as much as it could be. It is mainly used for practical purposes.
Faculty: Faculty is good. The exam and result can be late. The syllabus includes an internship every year. The syllabus is common to other colleges, but never in depth. It is really good if you can self-study. You can manage a lot of time for skill learning. The exam can be managed from the previous year. But managing CGPA is hard.
Other: The campus area is not very good. Many times, you have to travel even for small items required for projects. The cost of living is very low and provides many opportunities. Students should join clubs and societies to build networks. After the first year, most students do not attend college regularly. It is actually a good college for tech if you can manage your skills, as it gives you enough time to improve and advance.

Great ROI and a pretty decent college if you are looking to spend your 4 years here.
Placements: Placements are decent, but the most important thing here is ROI. For the 2021-25 batch, the average package was 7.9 LPA, while the top 10 percent of students got 13 LPA. The highest package offered is from Vedanta of 17 LPA in the core sector, while AWS offered 28 LPA in the IT sector. More than 50 companies visited the campus, and most of the students got placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was outdated a few years ago, but now it's been upgraded at a good pace. New hostels have been built for first-year boys also, a new academic complex and R&D centre are also coming up along with a SAC for the students entering in 2026. Labs are outdated in some departments, but they have been improving in the last few years, and it will only get better with time. Sports facilities are decent and not great. We do have 3-4 grounds in our campus and almost every hostel has a volleyball court, while the club ground has a basketball court
Faculty: There is a shortage of faculty in almost every department. Exams are mostly delayed, while the results also come out late. The curriculum follows NEP, so it is relevant in modern times. The exams are not that difficult to pass, if you study even a few days before exams, you'll end up with a decent SGPA.
Other: The campus crowd is good, it all depends on your friends group. Fests are limited, but now the college life is improving, and also ragging is minimal now, so freshers don't need to worry about that. There are lots of clubs which organise events, so make sure you participate in every event you get a chance because the opportunities to showcase your talent are limited.
