The registration window for CA Final May exam 2026 closed on March 16 (without late fee) and March 19, 2026 (with late fee). As per ICAI, the exam fee for single group for registration is INR 1800 and for both groups is INR 3300.
Candidates must note that the CA Final exam for Group 1 and Group 2 will be common. A student must have a valid course registration to fill and submit CA Final application form 2026. ICAI CA Final Exam 2026 Registration Process
Registration: Apr ' 26
CA Final course validation is 5 years. If the validity of the registration has lapsed, students can re-validate or convert on SSP at https://eservices.icai.org/. It is mandatory for candidates registered under Old Scheme to convert on SSP from CA Final Old Course to CA Final New Course by paying INR 1,000.
Chartered Accountancy aspirants can apply for the ICAI CA Final exams/courses by registering themselves. First time applicants, can register as fresh candidate, by following the below mentioned process:
- Open ICAI official website or eservices.icai.org
- Click on Login option if you have an ID or Click on 'New User Register here!
- Fill the details as required
- Click on confirmation/declaration and 'Register' button to complete ICAI exam registration
- Once ICAI CA Final registration is complete, proceed to fill the application form

ICAI conducts CA Final exam, three times a year - January, May and September. The January exams have already been concluded. The CA Final May application form 2026 will release on March 03, 2026 at official website.
Candidates have to pay INR 600 as late fee to submit the CA Final exam application form after the last date has passed. For candidates appearing for the exam at overseas centres, the late fee amount is USD 10. Form correction window has opened for CA Final May 2026 exam. To edit CA Final exam form for change of medium and test city, candidates have to:
- Go to https://eservices.icai.org
- Login with your ID and password
- Click on CA application form 2026
- Check relevant fields for editing
- Makes changes by selecting ‘changes required’ option
- If no editing is required, select ‘No change required’

Yes, in case you have created login from November / December 2016 CA exam onwards, you don’t need to recreate the login even if you have converted to New Course. You can log in with your credentials and avail the services offered by the ICAI.
In fact, once you have created a login ID for the CA course, be it at the time of registering for the CA Foundation course after Class 10 or 12, or at the time of registering for CA Intermediate after graduation, you will not have to create a login ID again for rest of the course levels and activities.
ICAI will conduct CA Final exams for May 2026 session between May 02 and May 12, 2026. Candidates who will register for May session before last date will be issued admit card to appear in examination. The exact exam dates will be soon announced by ICAI.

The CA Final registration fee is non-refundable. Candidates cannot seek a fee refund under any circumstances. If a candidate makes mistake in the form, they will have to fill another one and pay the fee again. Thus, when fill the CA Final exam form, students must take care in entering correct and valid information as there is no option to edit the form after submission. During the form correction window, only a few sections are open for editing.
During the CA Final form correction window, candidates can edit the following options only –
· Change of medium
· Exam group
· Test city
No other field is editable, once the form has been submitted. The form correction window also opens only once, so candidates need to be very careful in editing these fields. Once the changes are done, the form will be accepted as final and the CA Final admit card will be released accordingly.
ICAI CA Final Application Form Filling: Photo and Signature
When uploading the scanned photo and signature for CA Final form, candidates must keep in mind the following:
- The photo should recent and clicked against white background
- The photo must have a clear contrast of the image
- Photo wearing goggles and caps will not be accepted
- Religious headgears are allowed but should not cover the face.
- Photo with spectacles will be accepted.
- If flash is used while taking the picture then make sure that there is no “red-eye”.
- The format and dimension should bejpg/jpeg format and of 20-50 KB.

- Signature should on a white sheet with a black pen.

CA Final Application Process 2026: Key Points to Remember
- The candidate is required to furnish valid details in the CA Final exam form and fill every mandatory field. Incomplete forms will be rejected.
- Payment of fee is to be done through Visa/Master/Maestro Credit/Debit Card.
- After fee payment, candidate must download the duly filled form and take a print out of the same.
- If the uploaded image does not appear on the printout of the application form, candidates can attach two latest photographs (passport size – 3.5X4.5 cm)– One attested and one non-attested.
- If the signature does not appear on the CA Final exam application form 2026, then the candidate must sign at specified places and get it countersigned by parent/guardian at the specified place (in any case).
- The ICAI CA Final application form has to be attested by a Chartered Accountant or a Gazetted Officer or Principal of School/College.
- Candidates can change or upload their photograph and signature on the SSP before submitting the exam form.

The passing marks for CA Final is minimum of 40 per cent aggregate in each individual subject and 50 per cent aggregate of all the subjects at one sitting in either both the groups or a single group. Candidates who do not score the minimum percentage, have to take the exam again in the next cycle.
Students can make as many attempts as they can because, to complete the Chartered Accountancy course, one needs to clear all the course levels with passing marks. The CA course is of a very high difficulty level and even the toppers manage to score not more than 70-75 per cent. A large number of students cannot clear a course level in one go. The pass percentage hovers around 25 to 30 percent.
If a candidate is unable to clear the CA Final course exam in the first attempt, they can reappear. The initial registration for Final Course is valid for five years, which means each candidate gets 10 attempts. After five years, they can register again for the next five years. The certificate to practice Chartered Accountancy as a profession is given to any student by the ICAI only after they clear the final level. Irrespective of the number of attempts they have made to clear it. Until they clear the CA Final level and get the certificate, they cannot practice as a professional.
