Ambedkar University adopts three villages in national capital

The Delhi government-run Ambedkar University has announced that it has adopted three villages in the national capital where it will organise legal aid clinics, medical camps and other events for the people. Ambedkar University has established an Outreach and Extension Division as part of its efforts to reach the wider community of Delhi.

Professor Anu Singh Lather, the vice-chancellor of the university, said the institution has adopted three villages -- Jawahar Camp, Chuna Bhatti and 5/35 Kriti Nagar.

On the occasion of the International Women's Day, the Ambedkar university had organised a programme at the slum cluster of Jawahar Camp where faculty members interacted with several women and children and tried to understand their issues and challenges.

Professor Lather assured all the women that legal awareness camps and legal aid clinics will be organised by the Ambedkar University. The university will also organise medical camps in neighbourhoods which will help the children and the elderly. There are plans to start an 'Academics on Wheels' initiative to take the classroom to the neighbourhood which will include holding workshops on the Constitution, digital literacy events, entrepreneurial lessons, the Ambedkar university said in a statement.

Q:   Is Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi under CUET?
A:

The university is not under CUET but it accepts the national-based entrance exam score. In order to enroll for admission the candidate have to mee the last educational qualifications. The university also accepts CMAT scores for MBA programme. The eligibility criteria for MBA course is graduation with 50% aggregate.

The university is also planning to implement a programme in which it will encourage its students to volunteer as mentors to students of the slum cluster to help them out. While speaking on the same, Dr Nitin Malik, registrar, said the university will encourage initiatives and business ideas of women of Jawahar Camp and provide them all kind of support.

There is no single combined cutoff. Each applicant can check/view their result on dashboard.
Fee structure differs depending on the university and course.

For gen/OBC/ minority fees for first year is around 23-24 thousand. For second year, it is 23,300. 
For SC/ST/Blind- 4000 for first year and 3300 for second. 
Every year the college revised it tution fees. Check website before taking admission.
