Recently, the University has published the results of the 3rd and 4th-semester results of some courses. Calicut University also publishes Distance Education examination results online.

A candidate of Calicut University will be eligible to sit for the next semester examination if only he secures pass marks in all the papers or subjects in a semester. Read below to know more about Calicut University results.

Calicut University of Kerala started its journey in 1968 with an aim to spread education among all and to encourage in research. It houses departments of science, humanities, commerce, technology and management and runs undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes on various disciplines. Along with imparting education, Calicut University is tirelessly endeavouring to retain the art and culture of Kerala. About 304 colleges are affiliated to this university.

Calicut University offers admission to 31 different subjects at the postgraduate level. Every year Calicut University conducts several examinations at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. It has adopted the semester system for conducting examinations for the UG and PG courses. An academic year is divided into two semesters. Usually, the examinations of odd semesters like 1st, 3rd, 5th, etc. are held in January and that of even semesters like 2nd, 4th, 6th etc. are held in May-June. The university announces the dates of examination well ahead in order to enable the students to prepare well for the examination.

All Calicut University courses' results are published online. The results are declared within two to three months of the completion of the examination. The date for publishing the result of a particular subject depends upon the respective department. To know their Calicut University result 2019, the students need to visit the website of the university. The consecutive department announces the date prior to the declaration of the result. The website of the university is https://www.uoc.ac.in/

Here are a few guidelines for the students to check their Calicut University results-

  • On the home page of the website, they must click on the ‘Online-Registration-Results Notification’
  • Next, they would have to click on ‘Examination Results’ and a new page will open
  • They need to click on the relevant key to download the result
  • After, they would have to enter their registration numbers and the ‘Captcha Code’ in the designated slot
  • By clicking on the ‘submit’ button they can see their results on the screen
  • Then, they can take a printout of the result

If the students find any discrepancy on the result they must contact the designated person in the result section of the university. Within a few days of the publication of Calicut University results, mark sheets are issued to the students. So the students must not consider their online results as their mark sheets. The mark sheets contain the names of the students, their registration numbers, roll numbers, semester numbers, paper wise numbers and grade, grand total, CGPA, SGPA etc.  The mark sheet contains all the details of the grades. For example: if a student scores 90% and above in a particular paper he will receive grade A+. Similarly, A grade is awarded for scores 80% and above. The marksheet also shows division like 1st Div for grand total 60% and above, 2nd Div for grand total 45% and above. For honours subjects, 1st class is awarded for an aggregate 60% and above and 2nd class for an aggregate 45% and above. If the result shows ‘RW’, it means ‘Result withheld’. Again ‘F’ on the result indicates Fail.

A candidate will be eligible to sit for the next semester examination if only he secures pass marks in all the papers or subjects in a semester. If the students are not satisfied with the marks of a particular paper or subject they may apply for re-evaluation. In that case, they must visit the grievance portal and apply for re-evaluation. The requisite fee for re-evaluation is to be deposited online using Credit/ Debit card or through online banking mode. The result of the re-evaluation is also published online. The students can check the re-evaluation result, following the same procedure. The University also arranges for the supplementary examination. After, the publication of Calicut University results, the unsuccessful students may sit for the supplementary examination. To appear for the supplementary examination they need to apply online, depositing the required fee. The result of the supplementary examination is also published online. The dates of supplementary examinations 2019 will be announced after the declaration of Calicut University results 2019. After, the publication of supplementary results, fresh mark sheets are issued to the successful candidates. Calicut University also publishes Distance Education examination results online. Recently, the University has published the results of the 3rd and 4th-semester results of some courses.
