Coronavirus: Tips for students to have positive vision
In this pandemic situation of Coronavirus, families are spending quality time together and are getting enriched ethically by seeing one of the most-watched serial named as Ramayana. Many good memories which were lost in “yadon ka sheher” have been refreshed.
In one of the scenes of this mythological TV series, when Laxmana accuses himself for the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana. It is shown that When Rama hears this, he explains to his younger brother that whatever happens, happens for good. At hearing this, Laxmana asked for an explanation of these words. Rama obliged and explained that if Sita had not been kidnapped we would have returned to Ayodhya without any enthusiasm after their 14-year-long exile. As a result of which we have come to know about the demons present here so that we can kill them and make this world free from there terror.
When that episode ended it made me think that no matter what the situation is we should always have a positive vision so that we can find the actual reason behind the scene of life. Like now we are in lockdown everything around us is stopped and life seems to be miserable but on another side of the coin we can see mother nature has become pollution free winds, water, air, etc., all have become pure, animals and birds are feeling the change in environment, which is actual positivity of lockdown.
“जाकी रही भावना जैसी प्रभु मूरत देखी तिन तैसी”
I found this stanza of Ramayana appropriate for today’s situation. Vision plays an important role in our lives because what we think is right can be wrong for others. In this continuation, I would also throw a light on one more scene of Ramayana, when Ravana was going for fight according to his tradition he went to worship Lord Shiva, as we all know that he was a strong disciple of him, in front of the statue he said, “I am not wrong and I have not done any sin, if I am egoistic then it is because of powers which I have gained with my efforts”. From this conversation, we can conclude that what was wrong for others was right for him.
“Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”
For a positive vision, we need a positive attitude and this comes from some practices like:
- Optimism: Eagerness to attempt and in place of assuming your pains won’t pay off.
- Acceptance: Acknowledge the way you get the outcome also learn from your mistakes.
- Resilience: Reform yourself into a new leaf after facing the problems instead of giving up.
- Gratitude: Always make a practice to appreciate the good happenings and your efforts to make life peaceful and happy.
- Consciousness/Mindfulness: dedicating the mind to conscious awareness and enhancing the ability to focus.
- Integrity: the mannerism of being praiseworthy, virtuous, and clear-cut, instead of dishonest and self-serving.
These are a few practices which can make our vision positive, our life successful and peaceful.
