Amity University, Noida is a private university located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2005. The university is recognised by UGC and accredited by the NAAC with a grade of A+. Amity University provides undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral programmes. It has campuses in India and overseas branches in London, Dubai, Singapore and New York. Amity secured 16th rank in the management category, 10th rank among the top private universities, 12th rank in the pharmacy category, and 5th rank in the engineering category in India by NIRF 2020 among private universities. The campus has a well-equipped library and IT services offering services in the admission process, online classes, live streaming of events, a library, LMS, Wi-Fi-facility around the campus, research labs for each department, one main auditorium with a large seating capacity, a number of mini auditoriums, journals and magazines. The university considers admission on merit and skill basis. The exam dates vary from year to year, but majorly it depends upon the student’s response and internal exams. The examination committee makes sure that there are no clashes between any of the national-level exam dates and dates for the admission test/selection procedure. 

Q:   Does Amity University Noida accept CLAT score for BA LLB?
A:

Those who are willing to get admission to this course are not required to appear for any entrance exam. Amity University offers admission to BA LLB course based on merit scores of candidates obtained in the last qualifying exam along with their performance in the Personal Interview (PI) round. However, as per the university's brochure, candidates with a decent CLAT score will be given weightage and offered direct admission to BA LLB.

Q:   What is the criteria for MBA at Amity University Noida?
A:

At the PG level, Amity Noida offers admission to MBA course based on minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who passed graduation with 50% aggregate in any stream from a recognised board are eligible to apply for this course. For some specific MBA specialisations candidates are required to get a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 50% or any degree in Mathematics /Statistics/ Science/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Data Science/ Information Technology/ Information Science or an equivalent qualification in relevant discipline. It's a mandatory step to qualify before applying for Amity Noida MBA admission. 

Q:   Does Amity require CAT for MBA?
A:

Yes, Amity University accepts CAT exam scores for admission to MBA course. Candidates who are willing to get admission to this course can appear and qualify the exam with a valid score. Based on candidates CAT percentile and other selection round, a merit list will be released on the official website of Amity University.  Apart from this, the university also accepts scores of other entrance exams such as MAT, XAT, CMAT, etc. Eligible candidates can also qualify any of these mentioned exam and submit their scores at the time of filling the application form. 

Selection Process

The selection process is conducted at various Amity campuses. The students are informed about the date, time, and venue of the selection process. They can select their selection process date and, as per that, appear for the selection process in person. The selection process depends on the course they have chosen. Generally, it consists of an English test and/or group discussion and/or personal interview.

Personal Interview

The admission process to Amity University is based on performance in the entrance exam conducted. The Personal Interview (PI) and the entrance exam are given equal weightage in the admission process. The personal interview includes questions like "Tell me about yourself," "Why did you choose Amity University over others?"," What are your strengths and weaknesses?"," What are your hobbies?" etc. The candidates are also evaluated on the basis of their entrance exam score, personal interview, and academic performance for admissions. The selected candidates are informed through email along with all the relevant details.

Direct admission

Students with a grade point average of 80% or higher in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards) are exempted from the selection process. The selection for these students is based on their Amity application form. The selected students are sent an intimation of the result on the admission microsite. After the admission process and examination are completed, the selected students can download their admission letters from the website.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria to get admission to BTech programmes at Amity Noida?
A:

For admission to a four-year BTech course at Amity Noida, candidates have to fulifl the basic eligibility requirements of the course. Admission to BTech course is offered in both Sponsored and Non-Sponsored categories. To apply for BTech, candidates must have passed Class 12 with PCM/ PCB as subjects from a recognised board. Candidates who are applying through Non-Sponsored categories are required to pass Class 12 with mininum 60% aggregate, while for Sponsored category candidates, obtaining minimum 55% aggregate is must.

Q:   Is Maths compulsory for BCom (Hons) at Amity Noida?
A:

No, Maths is not compulsory for admission to Amity Noida BCom (Hons) course. However, for BCom (Hons) admission candidates must have secured Class 12 with Maths with an aggregate of 70% (65% for Sponsored category students).

Q:   Does Amity University Noida have entrance exam?
A:

No, Amity University Noida does not conduct any entrance exam for admissions in 2025. Admission to most of the UG and PG courses at Amity University Noida is merit-based. Students just need to fulfil the minimum eligibility and direct admission is given to them based on their merit performance in the previous qualifying exam. For courses such as MBA, Amity accepts a valid score of CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ NMAT entrance exams, where the weightage of each exam is considered differently.

No, you should not able to take admission in amity with 40% marks because 40% is less than the  minimum marks required for the admission. Students who scored 50-60% (minimum score) are eligible for the admission process in the undergraduate courses.
