The college has its own on-campus separate hostels for boys and girls. Each hostel has its own mess facility and dining area, with vegetarian meals being served. Hostel rooms are well-furnished with beds, chairs, study tables, almirahs, fans, mirrors, etc. Each hostel has its own Wi-Fi router for high-speed internet connectivity, with a limit of 1 GB of data per day per user. The overall atmosphere of the hostel is very calm, with greenery all around. It has ten boys’ hostels, of which nine hostels are reserved for diploma and graduate students and one hostel is reserved for PG and PhD students. It has a total of four hostels for girls, of which three are reserved for diploma and UG students, and one is reserved for PG and PhD scholars.

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology Boys Hostel

The SLIET college has 10 boys’ hostels, namely BH1, BH2, BH3, BH4, BH5, BH6, BH7, BH8, BH9, and BH10, with a total accommodation capacity of 2400 students. All hostels are situated linewise starting from Longowal gate, and hostel 10 is situated near the electrical department. Parking facilities for bikes and bicycles are available in front of the entrance gate of each boys’ hostel.

Boys' Hostel for Diploma Students:

A total of five BH1, BH2, BH3, BH4 and BH5 hostels are reserved for certificate and diploma students, and these are allotted to 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and lateral entry students of this programme for various courses. All the hostels are constructed in the same way, and each one has a three-storey rigid building constructed like a rectangle on its edges, situated just near the Longowal gate and stadium. Each hostel has a capacity of 235 students. It has only threeseater spacious rooms with well-furnished beds, chairs, tables, and other facilities like windows with iron jallis, almirahs, and one entrance door. It has its own mess facility with a

dining area consisting of chairs and tables.

Boys Hostel for UG Students of Engineering

A total of four BH6, BH7, BH8 and BH9 hostels are reserved for B.Tech students and are allotted to 1^st, 2^nd, 3rd and 4^th year students of the B.Tech programme. In these hostels, BH6 is a three-seater room, and the other three, BH7, BH8, and BH9, are single-seater rooms. All these hostels are constructed in a similar manner, and each one has a three-storey rigid building, constructed like a rectangle on its edges, situated in a linear fashion just near to the BH4. Three-seater hostels are allotted to first-year students, while single-seater hostels are allotted to pre-final year and final-year students. Each hostel room is well-furnished and well maintained with beds, tables, chairs, almirahs, and a single entrance with two windows that open toward greenery.

Boys' Hostel for PG and PhD Students

BH10 hostel is reserved for PhD and PG students of MSc and M.Tech and is only allotted to

1^st and 2^nd year students of PG and scholars of PhD. It is a two-storey, newly constructed building situated at the end of the campus near the Electronics Engineering department. This hostel has its own badminton court situated inside the hostel and a basketball court situated just outside. This hostel has only single-seater, well-spaced well-maintained rooms.

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology Girls Hostel

The college campus has a separate area for girls’ hostels that includes faculty residences and four girls’ hostels, namely GH1, GH2, GH3 and GH4. The total accommodation capacity of all girls' hostels is 1005 students. It has single and triple-seater rooms only. Each hostel is equipped with a kitchen and washing machines, as well as laundry services. The college aims to provide a convenient as well as comfortable stay with the foremost objective of ensuring the safety of female students.

Girls' Hostel for UG Students of Engineering

This hostel is a three-storey building situated near the main entrance gate of the college. Engineering degree students are housed in the GH1 and GH2 hostels. It has well-furnished single-seater and three-seater rooms with a total accommodation capacity of 460 students. Both the hostels have kitchen facilities, badminton courts, and basketball courts. Each hostel room is well-furnished and well-maintained with beds, tables, chairs, and almirahs.

Girls' Hostel for Diploma Students

It is a three-story tall building situated beside GH1. This GH3 hostel is allotted to certificate and diploma students for all the courses. It has spacious three-seater rooms only, and each room is well-furnished and well maintained with beds, tables, chairs, and almirahs. This hostel has a total accommodation capacity of 230 students.

Girls' Hostel for PG and PhD Students

It is a two-storey building situated at the end of the girls' hostel complex. This GH4 hostel is only allotted to PG and PhD students of Engineering and other courses. This hostel has a total accommodation capacity of 81 students, and every room is a single-seater. Each room is spacious and well-furnished with all the necessities like beds, tables, chairs, almirahs, etc.

Each hostel has its own mess, dining hall, gymnasium, TV room, library, playground and table tennis room. Separate residential wardens are employed for each hostel to promote better security.

The hostel fee is paid at the start of each semester, and the mess bill is paid at the end of each month. The fee structure is shown below:

The security sum is refunded after the completion of the course with minor deductions directly to student’s account.
