SLIET Admission Process 2026

Students applying to SLIET, they must apply before the last date. BE admissions need entrance exam scores like JEE Main. If student miss JEE Main, they can take the exam again next year with a better score.

Follow these easy steps to fill SLIET application form:

Step 1: Create an Account

Go to the official website and click on the SET-2026 registration link. Register using phone number and email address.

Step 2: Fill Out the Form

Log back in the account. Choose the preferred course (ICD, BE Lateral Entry, MSc, MTech, MBA, or PhD). Fill in the personal details and marks.

Step 3: Upload Documents

Upload clear passport-sized photos, signature, and category certificate (if applicable).

Step 4: Pay the Fee

Pay the application fee online using net banking, debit card, or credit card.

Step 5: Download Admit Card & Take the Test

Download admit card from the website when available. Go to the allotted exam center and take the SET-2026 exam.

One of the best colleges for lateral entry.

Placements: The placement in our branch is not very good. The electronics branch of this college is dead. Placement percentage is around 70 percent. The highest package is about 9 LPA. The average package is 4 LPA. All students have to do an internship in the 2nd and 3rd year.

Infrastructure: The college campus is spread over an area of 450 acres with greenery. Wi-Fi is available in the department as well as in the hostel. Classrooms are of both types digital as well as classic. The library is good and has enough books. Hostel quality varies from hostel to hostel. A health centre is present for prior treatment. The mess is average.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. They guide us in academics as well as in life. Most of them have completed their Ph.D. from this college or IITs/NITs. The course curriculum is similar to IITs. The college provides industry exposure. Semester exams are at a moderate level.

It is the best GFTI in JoSAA/CSAB counselling.

Placements: The placement in our course is extremely good. The highest package offered in our course is 12 LPA by JSW. The average package is about 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are JSW, Infosys, Larsen & Turbo, Mahindra, etc. An internship is mandatory, so all students got internships from different companies.

Infrastructure: The college has separate blocks for different departments. It also has a library and a separate study centre open 24 hours. Smart classrooms and Wi-Fi facilities are available. The hostel is average, all essential facilities are available, but the condition is not too good. Mess food is just sufficient to survive. A health centre is available on the college campus. The stadium and sports complex are also available.

Faculty: The faculty is very kind. 75 percent attendance is mandatory, but most teachers are not very strict. The course curriculum is relevant. Various workshops and seminars are organised by the college to become industry-ready. The semester exam is moderate. Teachers guide us very well.

Good infrastructure, below average placements. Overall good ROI as the fee is very reasonable.

Placements: Ground reality of placement is kind of bad. You're on your own if you're not willing to settle for 3-4 LPA in Infosys/TCS. One of our seniors secured 55 LPA (the highest of the 21-25 batch) off campus in Google. The percentage of students getting placed in CSE was 67% on a median of 4.1 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one spectrum where SLIET exceeds other GFTIs. The internet is fast and reliable. Wi-Fi has a limit of 1GB/day though. You get a sharing room consisting of 3 people in the first 3 years of your course. A single room is only available in the final year. Hostel fee is almost negligible, 4500/semester. It's really worth the amount.

Faculty: Professors are mostly typical highly qualified and knowledgeable individuals. However, they may lack teaching skills and compatibility with fellow students. The curriculum is old and irrelevant to today's market. Students must do DSA and AI on their own to secure a decent job. Semester exams are predictable and PYQ based. The passing percentage is very high, more than 90%.

Other: We have our cultural fest MADHURAM held once a year in the month of April. We have various cultural programs, competitions, and a celebrity night (Haryanvi Singer Khasa Ala Chahar was invited last year). The fest is kind of below average from a Tier 1 college's point of view.

A very good environment for student to study.

Placements: About 96 students out of 130 were placed in the previous year from the mechanical branch. The highest package was 8.2 LPA, the average was 4.6 LPA, and the lowest was 3.35 LPA. Top companies are Tata, Mahindra, Infosys, and Cognizant. The rest all got internships.

Infrastructure: All classes have their own smart boards, meaning smart classes with facilities like AC, fan, light, and Wi-Fi. About the hostel, there are 10 boys' hostels and 4 girls' hostels, and all have good facilities, including mess facilities that provide better food than other colleges or universities.

Faculty: All our faculty members are very helpful to the students, with some exceptions, and very polite as well. The teaching experience of the professors is around 30-35 years. All the teachers are well-qualified from IIT or NIT.

Other: I chose this field because my parents want me to be an engineer, and I specially want to become an engineer. So I chose the engineering line.

SLIET has achieved a good NIRF rank in the past 5 years.

Placements: 80-90 percent of students got placed in the past few years. The lowest package offered ranges from 3-5 LPA. The average package offered is 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 18.8 LPA. Top companies like Hindustan Unilever, HMEL Bhatinda, Nestle, Mother Dairy, Parle, Ralson, L&T, Wipro, Google, Microsoft, TCS, and Tech Mahindra hire students. 70 percent of students got internships. The R&D sector is the top role offered in my course.

Infrastructure: Our college has good labs, the best smart classrooms, full Wi-Fi, a digital library, and a good reading hall. In the hostel, there is a good mess for a meal, but it depends on the contractor. There is a sports hall and a TV room. It has a big ground in every hostel for cricket. There is a good swimming pool, and also football and cricket grounds.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. Many teachers are from IIT. Teachers focus on industrial experience related to the theory classes. There is no difficulty in the semester exam, and most questions come from our classroom notes. Some books are preferred by teachers. Teachers also help in the preparation of the GATE exam. They also give chances to join a good internship program through their reference.

Other: The best thing about this course is the good opportunities in the R&D sector, oil refinery, and fertilizer industry. Madhuram fest has a very outstanding performance of students, and there is good entertainment. We get a chance to be in NCC at SLIET.

SLIET honest review 2026.

Placements: Our current placement is better than previous years, the highest package for on campus is somewhat around 8.5–12.5 LPA in Computer Science and other branches also. But this year we got one of our seniors secured job in Google with a CTC around 55 LPA. Companies include Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and other local startups.

Infrastructure: Hostel is good. In 1st and 2nd year we have 3 people in one room, but if you are in top 10 percent of batch, then in 3rd year you get a single seater room; otherwise, every student gets a single room in 4th year. Hostel fee is 10,000 per semester which is affordable. Mess is separate but inside hostel. It costs around 3,000 per month. Food is okay, sometimes good, sometimes average. Overall facilities are fine, not too high level but manageable. We also have good labs for our course with proper systems for practical's.

Faculty: The faculty for our courses are good. Most of them have Ph.D. from IIT. The course curriculum is almost the same as other universities. We also have some new branches this year like AI, Cybersecurity. The semester exams are held inside the university so questions are not very difficult. Academic pressure is not very high, which gives us time to work on our skills.

Other: I am a CSE student from 2023 batch. Honestly, I didn’t choose this field by choice, based on my rank, this was the best field and college I could get, so I joined it. We have many scholarship opportunities like Mahindra Scholarship, Siemens Scholarship (selected students for full 4 years), Reliance Scholarship, and also government NSP Scholarship. I did not apply for any scholarship; many students get benefit from it.
