Experts also talk about SUPA which is a mandatory internship programme that provides students exposure to social issues.

Here is the edited excerpt.

Q: What is the admission process of XIME Institute? And, what is the eligibility criteria?

A: To initiate the application process at XIME institute, applicant must fill an online application form with a nominal fee amount. If the applicant meets all eligibility parameters, they would be further called for Group discussion and Personal Interview rounds. Basis his performance in academics, score in qualifying test and performance in personal interview, the admission would be confirmed.

To be eligible for admission, applicant must have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates)
  • 75 percentile and above in at least one of the qualifying test-XAT, CAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA and GMAT is also mandatory
  • We do not accept MAT as qualifying exam

Q: What is the last date to apply? And, when is the GD/PI Scheduled?

A: The last date to apply is for PGDM Program is February 26, 2020 and the GD/PI rounds will be tentatively conducted between March 19 and March 23.

Q: Does XIME offers any extra certifications apart from curriculum?

A: Apart from specialisations in Operations Management, Human Resource, Finance, Analytics and Marketing, institute also offers additional certifications In Six Sigma, Advance Excel and Python to make students industry ready. Moreover, these certifications adds value to students’ resume and give them the opportunity to stand out in crowd.

Q: Can you share some recent placement trends? And, do you also facilitate internship opportunities to students?

A: XIME has a track record of more than 95 per cent placements every year and this year also 85 per cent of the students have been placed. The placements season is still going on with many top recruiters such as Infosys, MIndtree, Oracle, Deloitte, Bosch, Ceat, Tata and PWC showing active interest in recruiting students for different positions. There are number of students who also choose to start their own business and hence do not sit in the placement sessions.

In 2019, institute successfully placed 307 students out of total strength of 317 students with average package of Rs 6.24 lakh in Chennai, Rs 6.29 lakh in Kochi and Rs 7.04 lakh in Bengaluru.

Institute also offers two months of internship programme to students, which is mandatory part of the curriculum. Meritorious students also get the opportunity to intern with Nagoya University, Japan. Apart from this, it is also mandatory for students to undergo Socially Useful and Productive Activity (SUPA), which is another internship programme to help students understand management Issues of NGOs and provides exposure to appreciate of social issues.

Q: What is total cost of two-year PGDM Program?

A: The total fee of two-year PGDM program differs basis location.

For XIME Bengaluru, the total fee for two-year programme is Rs 10 Lakh and for Chennai and Kochi the total fee is Rs 7.5 lakh. There is an additional fee amount of Rs 9,000 per month for students who want to opt for accommodation on campus, inclusive of all basic facilities and necessities.

We also scholarships to student on the basis of their merit performance.

XIME Bangalore cutoff 2026 for XAT was 70 percentile (overall). Hence, aspirants with 70 percentile in XAT or similar Management exams may get shortlisted for admission in PGDM course.
