Right now, the campus is housed within Magadh University, the exterior hostel infrastructure does not appear to be particularly attractive. Except for a couple of rooms that are allotted on a double-sharing basis, else all MBA students are assigned to single-occupancy rooms. The number of blocks currently available for occupancy is three, with two of the blocks reserved for boys and one reserved for girls. As of now, there are five hostel blocks on campus, each with a capacity of approximately 110 occupants. Candidates for the IPM program, on the other hand, are assigned rooms on a dual-sharing basis. Additionally, a couple of washing machines are located on each floor of the hostel for the convenience of students. Laundry services are available at a reasonable cost in addition to these amenities.
Campus Area at IIM BG
IIM BG is located on a sprawling, lush green campus that covers approximately 119 acres of area. All stakeholders' requirements are taken into consideration while designing the campus. Students can access the Learning Resource Center from any location on the campus thanks to the availability of wireless internet access at IIM BG (LMC). Besides that, the campus is well-equipped with all of the sports facilities, from indoor to outdoor, and nearly all of the games have dedicated areas being built on the new campus. The campus also has a gym that is open to both boys and girls, in addition to these features. Trainers are also available at no additional charge. All of the charges associated with these amenities are included in the term fees.
Mess Facilities at IIM BG
Students are the driving force behind Mess arrangements. Major decisions regarding various activities related to food are made by the student council. A dedicated committee, known as the 'Hostel & Mess Committee' (HMC), is formed to oversee all of the day-to-day activities necessary for the proper functioning of the hostel. The HMC decides on the menu after consulting with all of the other students present. As a result, the menu is updated on a regular basis, approximately every 35-45 days.
A mess fee is an additional cost that is not included in the term fees. It is charged at the end of each month and is dependent on a variety of factors. A canteen is also available where students can get their fill of whatever they desire. The canteen is open from early morning till late night.
Hostel life on any campus continues to be one of the most exciting aspects of any student's life, and to support this, IIM BG senior authorities are keen to make it even more enjoyable; not at the expense of academics, but by increasing the number of activities that engage students.
