Internship Opportunity at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology

The college has a well-established and fully pledged training and placement department that focuses on each student with the objective of providing them with industry exposure during the course years through seminars, internships and training programs. The T &P department consists of faculty members and students from every stream of various courses. The College provides various industrial internship programmes which are relevant to every domain. Experts and researchers from premier institutions like IIT/NITs and other industries or organisations mentor the students during the internships. These internships are unpaid and organised by the college.

The following are the details of the internship programmes for top courses:

Eligibility details: Students in the third year and final year of B.Tech courses and research scholars of any year are eligible to register.

The following are the internship details for the B.Tech course:

Curriculum: There are various modules in which students can register themselves. Each module has a different time period for completion of the internship. The topics covered in different modules vary, and the final projects are also different. Students can register themselves in any of the modules or all of the modules.

Duration: The duration of internships must be a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of four weeks. Only students with full presence are awarded with internship certificates.

Top Recruiters: The college has its own development centre with collaboration with other prestigious institutes and industries, which provides internship and training opportunities to the students.

Stipend: Internships or training that is provided directly by a college are unpaid, but at the end of each internship or training, students get an appreciation letter and certificates as well.

The majority of these internships are in the Research and Development (R&D), Automobile, Telecommunications, and Information Technology (IT) sectors.

Application Procedure

1. Students need to register themselves using online links provided by the department.
2. Fill up the application form with all the necessary details.
3. The request form must be duly signed by the respective department's HOD.
4. After that, get it signed and approved by the faculty.
5. Submit it with all the necessary documents.

Application fees:

There is no application or registration fee for the students of SLIET, but the students of other institutes need to pay an amount of INR 500.
