JNU Admit Card 2025: Release Date, Steps to Download
JNU Admit Card is an important and compulsory document that mentions some of the important details about the candidate such as name, DOB, Gender, etc. and assigns a unique identification number called the “Roll No.” to each candidate. The document also contains information about the examination centre and the timing of the exam. For JNU CUET exams, the JNU Admit card is released on the official website of NTA.
Jawaharlal Nehru University course admissions are done through JNU CUET UG or JNU CUET PG. JNU 2025 Admit Card will be available soon for UG courses. How to Download the JNU Admit Card?
The Jawaharlal Nehru University admit card is released on the official website National Testing Agency. The candidate needs to visit the NTA official website and download the JNU admit card within the stipulated time. Aspirants must keep in mind that entry without an admit card will not be allowed at the examination centre. The steps to download the JNU Admit card are mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA and then click on CUET UG/ CUET PG Website and Registration.

Step 2: Go to candidate login.
Step 3: The aspirants will be given two options to log in either through the application number and password or through the Application number and date of birth. Candidate needs to click on their preference.
Step 4: The aspirants need to fill in the details as per the option selected in the prior menu. Additionally, the candidates need to enter the security pin and then click on sign-in
Step 5: Aspirants can go to the admit card section and download it from there.
The aspirants are advised to read the instructions given on the JNU Admit Card carefully. Also, the Candidates can only appear for the JNU Entrance exam at the allocated examination centre and as per the shift timings mentioned on the admit card.

For JNU BSc admission, candidates need to apply online for CUET. JNU BSc admission is completely entrance-based and depends upon candidates' performance in the CUET-UG entrance exam. Additionally, before filling out the application, aspirants must check out the eligibility criteria for this UG course. Based on the entrance exam score, the seats are allotted to the selected candidates through counselling. The seat is confirmed after the document verification.
CAT application process for the current year has already been concluded. The exam has also been conducted. The results and answer key are expected to be released at the iimcat.ac.in website. The CAT 2026 registration dates are not announced yet.
Jawaharlal Nehru University accepts CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance test scores for admission to several undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate and PG Diploma courses. The University also accepts a few national-level entrance exam scores for admission to courses such as BTech, MBA, etc. For admission to BA (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, BSc-MSc Integrated programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiency courses, JNU accepts CUET-UG scores.
- The registration window for CUET UG for Jawaharlal Nehru University admission UG courses usually open by February. Further, the CUET UG is held between May and June.
Challenges while downloading the JNU Admit Card
In case aspirants are not able to download the JNU admit card from the NTA official website or there is any discrepancy in the admit card related to the photograph of the candidate or signature of the candidate or confirmation page, the candidates are advised to immediately approach the helpline between 10:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
The NTA will be making the required changes in their records to avoid hurdles that may arise due to the discrepancy. Therefore, there is no need for candidates to download another admit, the same admit card will be accepted at the examination centre.

JNU Delhi does not accept the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) for admission to the BTech courses. To be eligible for JNU BTech admission, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score. The final selection is based on JoSAA counselling process. The JoSAA counselling is usually held in the month of September. This year, there will be six rounds of seat allotment.
Candidates with an MBBS degree or an MSc in Nursing or equivalent (with a minimum of 55% aggregate or equivalent grades) and one-year experience in community health are eligible for this course. Admission is based on a CUET-PG followed by an interview. Candidates seeking admission need to apply for CUET-PG (cuet.nta.nic.in). Read more on CUET-PG Application Process. The candidates shortlisted further need to take part in the interview or viva round. Based on overall performance in the selection rounds, the seat allotment procedure is carried out.
Candidates are offered admission in MA programme based on CUET-PG scores of the candidates. The students are selected based on their performance in the entrance test. The CUET PG exam is held for postgraduate course admissions to over 50 Central and participating Universities.
What after downloading the JNU Admit Card?
After successfully downloading the admit card, the candidates must cross-check all the information mentioned on the admit card. They must take a printout of their admit cards on an A4 size sheet and keep it in good condition The candidates must read all the instructions mentioned in the admit card carefully and keep the required documents in a folder the night before the exam to avoid last-minute chaos. The aspirants are advised to check the distance of the examination centre and the time required to reach the centre from their place. They must also figure out the mode of transportation to avoid any hassle at the last moment.
JNU Admit Card: Exam day instructions
JNU Admit card comprises instructions that all the aspirants need to strictly follow. The candidate needs to be at the allocated examination centre within the stipulated time. Some of the important exam day instructions are mentioned below:
- Carry all the required documents as mentioned in the previous section
- Report at the allotted examination centre two hours before the reporting time mentioned in the admit card.
- The registration process at the examination centre will close 60 minutes before the examination.
- Candidates must show their admit cards for entry into the exam hall.
Note: Candidates without a JNU admit card will not be allowed to appear for the entrance test.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any bag inside the exam hall.
- The calculations and rough work will be done on the rough sheet provided at the exam hall. The same will be returned at the end of the examination.

Q. What if I forget to bring a JNU admit card on the exam day?
A. The candidates, without a valid JNU Admit card, will not be allowed to appear for the entrance examination. The NTA also does not provide the option of Re-test under any circumstances. Therefore, to avoid such situations, candidates are advised to make the necessary preparations a night before the entrance exam.
Q. What are things that are prohibited inside JNU Exam Centre?
A. Candidates are not allowed to carry anything other than:
- Copy of Admit Card
- One passport-size photograph
- Government ID
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
Electronic Gadgets (including smart watch and calculators), textual materials, Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, Blue-tooth devices, pager or any other electronic gadget/ device etc are not allowed inside JNU Exam Centre.
