College Organises Rally on “No Plastic Awareness”
December 22 2019: To support Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan or Clean India Mission by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the students of KCG College of Technology organised a rally on “No Plastic Awareness” on December 20. State Information Commissioner Dr R Prathap Kumar flagged the rally. Over 1,000 students actively participated to create awareness around the city on harmful use of plastic. Students also distributed cloth bags by college management to make people understand the reusability of bags that do not even harm the environment. The rally was organised on Rajiv Gandhi Road, Karapakkam.
KCG Hosts Virtusa-Neural Hack Season 3
November 27, 2019: The Grand Finale of the Virtusa Neural Hack Season-3 was held by the KCG College of Technology. It was a 24-hour long hackathon that was organised in the college campus on November 27 and 28. The event was a big success with Round 1 witnessing active participation of over 29,000 students out of which over 2,500 participants could qualify for the second round and 100 could qualify for the final round. The candidates were split into two tracks basis their preferences – Full Stack Track and Data Science Track. Post-hackathon, contestants were taken to Navalur's office in Virtusa, where a total cash prize of Rs 55,000 was given to the top 10 winners in addition to job offers.
