I make it a point to attend every class. There is no class that I would miss, says Megha

I took admission in 2020. Fortunately, there weren’t any entrance exams. This was a Covid time. As it is there were enough problems impacting every strata of society. So, Amity had devised a selection process that could be attempted from the safe confines of homes. We had to upload video responses to questions posed to us through the Admission Microsite.

In school, I was fascinated by only two things: the functioning of the human heart and plant sciences. So, I chose Biology in Class 11, keeping these two areas of interest in mind. My first priority was to be a Cardiologist but I couldn’t make it. Therefore, I am pursuing Botany.  After finishing my graduation in Botany, I wanted to explore management and commercial aspects in my field which inspired me to take up Post Harvest Technology. I found only Amity University, Noida which was offering the programme I wanted to pursue. Now I am very happy with my decision to join Amity. Based on the education and grooming at Amity University, I look forward to a promising career ahead.

So, Amity had devised a selection process that could be attempted from the safe confines of homes. We had to upload video responses to questions posed to us through the Admission Microsite. One thing that impressed me is that Amity University did not stop its admission process in the wake of the pandemic, but instead it evolved and adapted to the situation. They made everything online and none of us faced any trouble while taking admissions. Most of the colleges faced a lot of hiccups. Also, no other college was offering this programme in Delhi NCR. Thankfully, Amity was offering and hence, I am here.

Since I am attending classes online, I have missed the Amity campus life, about which one has heard so much. However, Amity evolved and adapted. It organised so many webinars which were related to our subject and concerned our holistic growth. Amity organised alumni meet online. I am a part of the Environment Science Club. We made presentations as part of Club activities. I make it a point to attend every class. There is no class that I would miss. I found the faculty to be extremely sincere and went out of the way to make sure that we imbibed what they intended to impart.

I am happy now pursuing Horticulture. I believe in what my HOI once said “always look forward, not backwards”. Yes, Amity has made me a better person and I’m still growing. I can clearly see a difference in me after joining Amity. I am a transformed person and improving every day.

From a student’s point of view, if your financial background is not strong, I would honestly suggest going with LPU for B.Tech CSE. The main reason is that LPU offers good scholarship opportunities based on your 12th marks or entrance tests, which can significantly reduce the fee burden.
