I am Puja Kumari  ,I belong to land of forests, famously known as Jharkhand. Currently pursuing her PGDM at the prestigious Global Institute of Business Studies. Beyond my academic pursuits, I find solace in the simple pleasures of life. My hobbies include exploring new destinations, capturing the beauty of the world through my drawings, and immersing myself in the art of travel. Driven by my personal mantra, "happy, moody, crazy," I approach life with boundless energy and enthusiasm. This tagline serves as a constant reminder to embrace every facet of life, from moments of joy to challenges that test my resilience. With a keen interest in human resources, my passion for understanding and nurturing talent knows no bounds. My dedication and hard work have been duly recognized, as I recently secured a coveted position in human resources at Kalvium. As I continue my journey, I remain steadfast in my pursuit of excellence, always ready to embrace new experiences and make a meaningful impact in the world of business and beyond.

Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose PGDM at GIBS?

Embarking on the journey of higher education wasn't merely a matter of selecting a college and a course; it entailed shaping my future, one decision at a time. Standing at the crossroads of my academic path during my XI-XII years, the Commerce stream beckoned, promising a deep dive into the world of business—a realm where numbers dance with strategy, and innovation meets practicality. Opting for Commerce went beyond mere subject choice; it represented a deliberate step towards my long-held ambition of immersing myself in the intricate world of management studies. The subjects I delved into were not just ink on pages but gateways to understanding the dynamics of economics, unraveling the mysteries of accounting, and even exploring the realms of computer science—all integral to the modern business landscape. Fast forward to my collegiate years, and I found myself stepping into the hallowed halls of GIBS Business School, a beacon of opportunity and innovation. What drew me like a moth to flame was the practicality embedded in the PGDM curriculum. Here, learning transcended textbooks, venturing into real-world scenarios where theories met the litmus test of application, and classroom knowledge seamlessly merged with corporate demands.

But what truly set GIBS apart were its unique offerings, like the Dual Degree program weaving together the threads of Innovation, Research, and Entrepreneurship with the PGDM fabric. The prospect of nurturing entrepreneurial instincts alongside managerial acumen was an offer too tempting to resist. The cherry on top was the Business Mastery program, a platform where dreams took flight with the support of seed capital provided by the institution itself. It wasn't just about learning to manage businesses; it was about having the audacity to start one, armed with knowledge and guided by experience. And then came the Certification in Personal Mastery Program, a game-changer in my pursuit of professional excellence. It wasn't merely about securing a job; it was about crafting a persona that exuded competence and confidence, paving the way for a successful stint at Kalvium. In retrospect, my decision to enroll at GIBS wasn't solely about chasing a degree; it was about embracing a lifestyle of continuous growth and relentless pursuit of excellence. GIBS wasn't just an institution; it was a launchpad propelling me towards my aspirations and sculpting me into a business maven ready to conquer the corporate cosmos.

Q2. How you cracked admission at GIBS? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for this college?

Gaining entry into GIBS Business School wasn't a simple feat; it was a journey fueled by sheer determination, strategic planning, and relentless self-directed effort. It all began with my focus on the CMAT exam, a pivotal step in the admission process for esteemed management programs like the one offered at GIBS. Instead of relying on conventional coaching classes, I opted for a more independent study approach. Equipped with study materials, a thirst for knowledge, and a stack of past question papers, I immersed myself in preparation. I stayed updated on current affairs, honing my analytical skills and refining my test-taking strategies along the way. But my journey didn't end there. While preparing for the entrance exam, I meticulously evaluated numerous colleges, considering their advantages and disadvantages. Among them, GIBS stood out as a beacon of promise, renowned for its stellar reputation, vibrant learning environment, and track record of nurturing future business leaders.

Of course, gaining admission to GIBS was no easy task. The selection process, particularly the interview round, assessed not only my knowledge but also my ability to articulate my aspirations and expectations from the program. It required a blend of confidence, clarity, and genuine passion. Yet, armed with my unwavering commitment to excellence and a wealth of preparation, I emerged triumphant. Securing admission to GIBS was more than just a milestone; it was a testament to my resilience and determination. Now, as a proud member of the GIBS community, I am ready to seize every opportunity, confront every challenge, and carve out my path in the dynamic realm of business management.

Q3. How you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in future?

My college journey has woven a rich tapestry of experiences, blending academic pursuits, extracurricular involvement, and personal development. At its core lies a commitment to holistic growth, evident in the diverse range of activities I engage in. Academically, I approach each course with equal enthusiasm, viewing them all as potential avenues for specialization. While I don't have specific favorites, I relish the opportunity to explore different subjects, broadening my understanding across disciplines. Moreover, I immerse myself in a variety of other activities, from participating in competitions to volunteering for social causes. These endeavors have honed my critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Given the chance, I eagerly seek out leadership roles and opportunities to contribute to the community. Whether organizing events, spearheading initiatives, or supporting charitable causes, I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact beyond the classroom. Reflecting on my college journey, I have undergone significant personal growth, from overcoming stage fright to developing analytical prowess and confidence. College has not only equipped me with knowledge but has also instilled vital life skills that will serve me well in the future.

Looking ahead, I am excited about the myriad opportunities that await. As my college continues to evolve, I anticipate further avenues for academic and professional advancement. With the demand for skilled professionals on the rise, I am optimistic about securing fulfilling career opportunities and making a positive impact in the dynamic world of business and management. My college experience has laid a sturdy foundation for future success, fueling my optimism and enthusiasm for the journey ahead.

Q4. What do you plan in future?

Aiming for future  my role within the Human Resources department by applying the knowledge and skills I've acquired through my specialization. I'm dedicated to taking full ownership of my duties and aiming for excellence across the board. My objective is to deeply understand the inner workings of the business and pinpoint areas where enhancements can be implemented, thus adding value to the organization's overall success.
