The institute focuses on cases, simulations, projects and activity-based learning that fills the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring students are ready to cope with the changing Business dynamics.  

Dr Vinit Vijay Dani is presently the area chair of the marketing discipline. He holds three post-graduation degrees and a PhD in Management Science from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Maharashtra and 30+ years of total experience. His areas of interest in research include authoring teaching cases in IVEY Publishing, Emerald Emerging Markets, Asian Journal of Management Cases in Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, Vedic Philosophy and Marketing. Dr. Vinit Vijay Dani is a member of prestigious organizations, including SMF, HMA, etc. He has published in International and Nationally Prestigious Journals and Conferences. 

Q1. What are the salient features of the teaching methodology adopted by VJIM? How does this differ from others?

VJIM in Hyderabad utilizes a unique teaching philosophy i.e. cases, simulations, project & activity-based learning that aims to fill the gap between theoretical understanding and practical implementation. This ensures that students are adequately equipped to tackle the complexities of today's business world. 

 Q2. How are you preparing the students to be industry-ready?  

We have adopted a holistic approach in making the students industry ready, VJIM focuses on exposure, skill training, and sustained industry interaction to enable them learn, and adopt for their corporate life. 

 Q3. What are the qualities you are looking for in student applicants? What qualities do they need to do well in your course? 

We seek applicants who not only meet academic qualifications but also exhibit qualities i.e. team spirit, curiosity to explore, a good organizer, ability to deal with problems, ethical and morally strong individual.  

 Q4. How do you ensure that your course curriculum is up to date and meets industry requirements?

VJIM provides a variety of specialized courses in different fields such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations, and Business Analytics. These courses are designed to prepare students with the latest knowledge and skills relevant to their respective fields. Focusing on experiential learning, VJIM integrates practical elements like industrial visits, corporate internships, and live projects into the curriculum. These experiences expose the students to real-life business situations firsthand, closing the gap between theory and practice. The curriculum is updated and upgraded regularly with a review process involving industry experts & corporate leaders.   

 Q5. Is your college receptive to innovation, technology, science & entrepreneurship? How? Could you cite some examples of these?

The VJIM the highest package for the 2025 batch stood at INR 12.16 LPA. However, the placement process is ongoing.  So the salary might change later. Earlier, the highest package offered during Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management placements 2024 was INR 34.5 LPA and in 2023 it stood at INR 8.7 LP

For admissions into the PGDM course, VJIM opens its admission portal in the month of October/ November, and the deadlines are usually announced in the months of February and March. Along with these application schedules, students should follow the dates of entrance exams.

The VJIM average package for the 2025 passing out batch was INR 6.32 LPA. Earlier, the average package offered to the 2024 batch was INR 7.22 LPA. The average package 2023 was INR 6.3 LPA.

The percentage of students placed during the academic year 2024-25 was 76%. It must be noted that the placements 2025 are ongoing. Looking at the past three years statistics, a declining trend in the VJIM placement percentage. The placement rate for the 2024 batch was 81% and in 2023 it stood at 84%
