For admission to the IIT Kanpur BTech programme, qualifying JEE Main is mandatory to become eligible for JEE Advanced. Only candidates who clear JEE Advanced can be considered for BTech admission at IIT Kanpur through JoSAA counselling.

For Amity University Noida BTech admissions, the non-sponsored category requires a 60% aggregate score in Class 12. Aspirants must clear their Class 12 exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as main subjects.  

Students who want to get admission into MMMUT Gorakhpur must appear for JEE Mains exam. Students willing to enrol into any of the BTech courses must fulfil the eligibility criteria and present a valid JEE Main score. JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per MNNIT Allahabad JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 4777 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 9937 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

RGIPT does provide merit-cum-means scholarships to the BTech programme students. RGIPT BTech scholarships also include several endowment scholarships. Students who are pursuing the BTech programme can avail various scholarships offered by the University, Central and State Governments. Some of the scholarships which can be availed by students are National Fellowship and scholarship for higher education of ST students, Post matric (Other than Intermediate) scholarship for ST, SC, General category students, Post matric (Other Than Intermediate) scholarship for Minorities, etc.

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, BTech admission is conducted in three different modes. To get admission in the BTech course, candidates can choose any one admission procedure as per their qualification. There are three admission modes:

Direct mode: Candidates are offered direct admission based on their score in the Class 12 exam. Candidates must score 75% marks or equivalent, in aggregate in three subjects, i.e., Mathematics, Physics, and English. This may apply and can be confirmed with the institute.

JEE (UG): Students can also apply for the JEE exam. Common University Entrance Test,  also known as JEE UG,  is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to UG courses offered by participating institutes. Students should have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science or a relevant stream to be admitted to bachelor's degree programs in the Central Universities.

Lateral-Entry: Candidates are required to have a valid qualfication and appear for the Lateral Entry Entrance Test for admission to BTech course.
