Jagannath University made me career ready: Purnita Arora
I was a commerce student in class 11th and 12th. I always wanted to pursue Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with Human Resources as specialization. I started exploring many universities and colleges and then my friend gave me an idea of Jagannath University.
How I chose my college
Then I visited Jagannath University. I found the ambience very good and infrastructure was also satisfactory. According to the ex-students, the college gives numerous opportunities to the students to show their talent and helps them a lot in every aspects whether it is live project or summer internship. Adding to this, the college conducts many guest lectures and workshops. Once, I joined the university, I realized, my decision was right.
How I cracked my college admission
To be able to secure admission in the university the candidate had to clear two rounds- first was Group Discussions and second was Personal Interview session. Once my GD-PI was over I waited for my result and got selected. I visited two more campus but I was not as satisfied as I was with Jagannath University.
What I learnt at Jagannath University
Faculty members at university are warm, caring, enthusiastic and accessible. I fall short of words to express my sincere thanks to all faculty members. I enjoy the way they respect the ideas and opinions of all the students in the class room. Due to this I felt safe in expressing my feelings and even learnt to respect and to listen to others. This mutual respect in classroom provides a supportive and collaborative environment.
Jagannath University faculty regularly organizes group discussions and debates in their classes and ensures that each and every student contributes. They usually assign topics based on your concentration and overall interests. So, I ended up participating in lots of debates, quiz programs and also hosting numerous fests, events, seminars and conference in my campus.
All these efforts instilled leadership qualities and confidence in me and made me a good communicator too. To cut long story short, I feel that the curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities at JNUB have transformed me to be career ready with judicious blend of personality, knowledge and practice.
