How to prepare for CBSE 12th Board Exams 2026 in just 60 days! CBSE is all set to conduct the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2026 between February 17 and April 9, 2026. The exams are going to be conducted for all streams in the pen-and-paper format. CBSE 12th practical exams 2026 have been scheduled between January 1 and February 16, 2026, in students' own schools. With just a little over 60 days left for the commencement of exams, Shiksha.com shares some tips to prepare for exams effectively in order to score well in all subjects.

A proper schedule of study, covering the entire syllabus and handling revision effectively, is required to prepare well for board examinations.  Here's a plan that you can follow in preparing for the 12th Board exams.

Days 1-10 in a study plan are essential as they set the framework for effective preparation. In this phase, students should go through the complete syllabus, identify the challenging areas, and divide the topics, units to cover the complete CBSE 12th syllabus. They must also set the tone for organizing study materials and time to grasp fundamental concepts. 

Day 11-30: Begin in-depth study of topics along with understanding. During this phase, the initial practice will help solidify your foundational knowledge for further revisions and advanced practicing. Start solving CBSE 12th sample papers or question papers of previous years to understand the CBSE 12th pattern of the exam.

Days 31-45: Consolidation of knowledge and development of preparedness after completing the syllabus. The stage will be totally devoted to intense revision of the contents covered earlier, solidification of learning, and extensive practice of different questions. Identify your weak spots and work on getting a solid grip, so you are truly prepared for the upcoming exams.

Days 46-55: These days should be kept for intensive revision and practice. Review the weak areas, build up on answering strategies, and extensive solving of practice questions. It helps in reinforcement of knowledge, boosts confidence, and fine-tunes exam-taking skills just before the exams. Review notes, summaries, and key points. Solve as many sample papers or previous question papers as possible.

Day 56-60: Focus on revising concepts, and retaining important information, reviewing key formulas, and solving more tests. It helps boosts confidence, and ensures a confident, well-prepared mindset for the 12th board exams. Ensure adequate rest and relaxation a day or two before the exam. Avoid last-minute cramming.
