JKBOSE offers three main streams in Class 12 — Science, Commerce and Arts. The compulsory subjects of JKBOSE Class 12 Science stream are Physics, General English, and Chemistry.  

Physics is one of the important subjects of the Science stream. According to the JKBOSE class 12^th exam pattern, the exam duration for Physics exam is three hours. The total marks allocated for the examination is 100 – 70 marks for the theory exam and 30 marks for the practical and internal assessments. The students preparing for JKBOSE Class 12 Physics need to clarify their concepts to get a firm grip on the subject. The important tips for students to prepare for JKBOSE 12th Physics examination are given below:

1. Maintain a regular flow in the study: The students should prepare a timetable and allot equal time to cover every topic. The focus of every student must be to complete the syllabus on time, therefore, theory and numerical must be studied together.
2. Make a separate notebook for formula and derivation: The students should maintain a separate notebook that includes all the chapter-wise derivations and formulae. Highlight the important ones and revise the same regularly. This will give you an extra edge over other students. 
3. Stick to the syllabus prescribed by the board:The students should know the syllabus prescribed by the JKBOSE board before starting their preparation. Solve numerical questions at the end of every chapter.
4. Previous years’ question paper: The students should go through and practise the previous years’ question papers before appearing for the exam. Solve at least the previous ten years’ question papers to understand the question paper structure and the exam pattern. Solving the JKBOSE 12^th previous years’ papers multiple times will help in identifying the repeated questions over the years in the board examination.
5. Give regular mock tests: Without self-analysis and testing, the students cannot understand their weak and strong points. The best way to get an idea of the current status of preparation is to give regular mock tests. After completing the syllabus, the students should give mock tests daily within the prescribed time as this will help in maintaining speed and accuracy during the exam.
6. Practise numerical regularly: In Physics, the numerical questions are important and carry a considerable weightage in the examination. Hence, the students must focus on understanding the concepts and practise the problems regularly to score well.
7. Isolated self-study time: Take out three to four hours apart from school and tuition for self-study. During this time, go through all the important topics studied that day. The students should at least study Physics at least thrice a week and numerical questions once a week to complete the syllabus on time.
8. Keep the resources limited:  JKBOSE prescribes books to prepare for board exams. Therefore, the students should cover the syllabus from these books first and then refer to other reference books from various authors, if required. Multiple revisions before examination: The students must start revising at least a month before the exams. Avoid learning new concepts of Physics at the last moment, instead, focus on revising the topics that are already completed. Revise all the important derivations and formulae as well.
9. Keep a track with your school teachers: During the preparation, the students should take help from their teachers to clarify any doubt. Also, take guidance from them at each step such as which topic to cover or skip and so on. This will help in saving time while preparing for the board exams.
