The CMAT exam takes place in the month of January every year. KMAT exam is held in February every year. PGCET exam happens in May every year. Whereas the MAT exam is held four times every year. The months are February, May, September, and December.

| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidates passed Diploma are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidate with Master's degree in fields such as Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/Technology, or an equivalent discipline, are also eligible. |
| M.E./M.Tech | Candidates must have passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate with the mentioned marks (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates) taken together in all the subjects of all the years/ semesters of the Degree Examination from any recognised institute/university. (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates) |
