A good way to learn agriculture from scratch.
Placements: Placements are conducted but some of the companies do not contact the university after conducting interviews (garuda aerospace company, a drone based company). International internships are however offered by full funding from ICAR to philipines, canada, taiwan, South korea, etc. Getting placed in interview depends upon how u write the exam and perform in interview, and also category based sometimes, and you should be passed in all the subjects wrote in previous semester.
Infrastructure: Some of our classrooms are monuments that are running since ages. They were build by britishes. Classrooms have step wise benches and desks and are spacious. Wi-Fi available in classrooms Hostels are good but are somewhat less spacious. Wi-Fi available, RO water available, geyser available, 24*7 ambulance available.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified and are Ph.D. They teach according to their experience and are well understandable The course curriculum is relevant and makes students ready for working in industries and agricultural field Semester exams are easy for the one who studies regularly, and are quite difficult to pass within one night before exam. Pass % in exam: at least 50% separately in each theory and practical, and at least 60% in aggregate Attendance of 80% is mandatory for appearance in exam.
Other: A lot of extra curricular activities are carried out in addition to regular studies.

AEC and RI, KUMULUR REVIEW .
Placements: As per I have the information from seniors, few companies only come to college for placement and they also select the students who are from Tamil Nadu. So getting placement from college is really tough. The company doesn't provide even higher packages. So placement scene is not good here.
Infrastructure: There no such good facility provided here and even library gets close by 5:30 PM. On sunday or any holiday college canteen, indoor satdium everything remains close. This college in outskrit area, so tourist places nearby and not even songke shop nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledge. But the curriculum doesn't seem too relavant to the courses. Semester examination are very tough because we need 50% to get pass and whether syballus is completed or not by the teacher but question will be asked from that topics as well .
Other: I choose agricultural Engineering because I was interested to study about agriculture in technical way. There are lots of things that college need to improve 1. Opening library for 12 hours atleast. 2. Providing 15-20 days holiday atleast so that other state students can also go theri home. 3. Focus on college and hostel infrastructure. 4. Clean washrooms and bathroom in hostel and college. Events and fest are also not that much good.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Is the BTech Agricultural Engineering syllabus the same across all colleges?
A:

The BTech Agricultural Engineering syllabus is not similar for all colleges and universities in India. Every institution has a certain set of curriculum guidelines that they follow and set the syllabus in that manner. But, the general topics covered in Agricultural Engineering classes are usually the same.
Some important concepts include agricultural processes in industries, farm machinery, surveying methods, soil investigation, tools and control of machinery, horticulture and field crops. You will get a good hang of the field after you pursue a BTech degree course in this field that covers both theoretical as well technical aspects.

Yes, you can apply for B.Tech agriculture as this subject is optional subject so it will not make you a field-specific person, you can apply for this course.

Yes, of course your son can pursue agriculture for a bright future, if he has interest in it, but if you are looking for a good salary package then and you should choose another stream. but ,your focus should be on your choices, if you love what you doing then you should proceed.
