Good infrastructure, supportive faculty with decent placements, and an industry-relevant curriculum.

Placements: In Food Technology, 90% of students are placed and get jobs in this field, and there are so many companies like Britannia, ITC, Nagar Foods. The internship for the students is also available for a semester project as a capstone project. The top roles offered in our course are quality checks.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in our college, and the hostels are very good, and they are cleaned daily in the bathrooms and toilets. They provide Wi-Fi and games, and they provide the Food fest for the students in the hostels, and during festival time, they will keep the students entertained.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, teaching quality is also good in this course, and the pass percentage is 80-90%. The industry is ready to take the students for internships and job offers, and they will also provide for the students in Food Technology Courses.

Other: Additional Information: I completed B.Teach Food Technology from Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education and belong to the 2026 passing out batch. I chose this course because the food industry has good career opportunities in food safety, quality control, production, and research. The best things about this course are practical laboratory experience, industry-related subjects, internships, and opportunities in both private and government sectors. I wish the course had more industrial visits, advanced equipment training, and more core company placements for Food Technology students.

Good campus atmosphere, placements depend on your course or department, and good infrastructure.

Placements: There are over 45 students in my batch and over 60 - 70 students in the next batch. There is only one classroom for each year of students as the number is much less compared to other departments. Only 7- 8 students got placed after the course. There are a lot of seniors that are currently working in the industries and a lot of them are doing final year projects outside. The students can get jobs in any sector of the food industry by building a good network during internships.

Infrastructure: Classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and other facilities are good, but the hostel is not so good. A lot of times there is bathing water scarcity. The food is not good. People often leave the hostels. After just 1 year, the food makes them sick.

Faculty: Teachers have good experience but there are only 5 facilities which means they handle all the subjects. The course curriculum and exams are easy if you put in efforts but the faculty members are not so great. They let their emotions and personal judgement during grading and there is a lot of bias. The pass percentage for semester exams is 40%. A few subjects have lab integrated which means we can easily pass the subjects. A few staff are not so great at teaching.

Other: There are a lot of events and clubs here. We also have a lot of in-campus stores. As the university is huge, we would get tired just walking from the hostel to our classes though you could get an EV car. You would get a scholarship easily but you will also spend a lot of money on printouts and projects. Overall, it is a unique experience where you can't hate everything but also can't live everything here. Choose your department carefully, don't choose without consulting any of the students in that department.

I am very satisfied with its culture and cricket.

Placements: Almost 85% of students got placed in our course. The top recruiting companies are Bingo, Hamam, Sangam, and Britannia. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The top role offered is production management.

Infrastructure: The facilities are well maintained. Laboratory is better. There is a very good library. Classrooms are maintained properly. Hostels are average. The food served in the mess is not good. Sports and games are excellent.

Faculty: Faculty members are very talented and qualified. They are well-trained and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are conducted very strictly.

The campus placements are good.

Placements: Students with a above 7.5 or 8.0 GPA got placed. The packages offered are 4 to 8 LPA. Companies are here for internships in CSE, EEE, IBM, etc. CSE students got higher chances. The top companies are Infosys, Tata, Amazon, Wipro, etc. Freshers get the lowest package of 4 Lacs per annum, and the highest package is 7 to 8 Lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: The labs, classrooms, and library are well-maintained. Wi-Fi is poor, and the food quality is average. The classrooms are good, and the hostel food is below average. The crowd is big.

Faculty: The teachers are available to clarify our doubts in their free time. Their teaching quality is good. Semester examinations are held, and the pass percentage is 40%. Internal marks are added to the final mark sheet. We gain good knowledge.

Other: I wanted to choose another field, so I proceeded with food technology. We have many opportunities here. Every weekend, they conduct some events.

The food in the hostel was not that nice.

Placements: 90% of the students got placed. For those 10% of students, our college creates many opportunities. For CSE students, hope was always high. Big companies like Infosys, Wipro, and Opentext will provide jobs. The highest package for my course is up to INR 3 lakh per annum.

Infrastructure: The college wifi was good. But you cannot find a good internet connection everywhere. Hostel food was very average. They give great importance to non-CGPA credits. They encourage students to participate in many competitions. There was a hospital inside the college. Ambulance facilities will also be available.

Faculty: Faculties are very lenient with students. They'll help you at any time. If we attend the classes regularly, then we can score more than 90% in exams. I got 80% in my last exams. They will provide industrial visits every year.

Other: Most of the people didn't have knowledge of my course. Even still, most of them are not aware of it. Events will be conducted twice a month to increase your non-CGPA credits.
